it's bizarre some of these games were huge classics for us as kids, they had fantastic reviews and were the games you had to get - consider Elite in this context.

Jeff talking about Howard Phillips and Slalom is the greatest bombcast moment ever, finally we see it in action.

@nickhead: I don't know about Nuts & Bolts, but Jetpac was definitely in Donkey Kong 64 -- was a semi-secret thing that you'd get access to somehow through Cranky Kong.

And, iirc, you had to get a certain score in it to truly beat DK64. Same goes for the original Donkey Kong game. (I could never beat DK due to my severe lack of skill at (and thus antipathy towards) 2D platformers. So I never beat DK64. Still haunts me to this day.

Im so glad they appreciate nuts and bolts... it gets such a bad rap for not being a direct spiritual successor to the banjo kazooie frachise, but was actually such a good game with unique and in depth gameplay style and a fun original world. Jeff has patrician video game opinions

I really liked Jet Force Gemini, I know Jeff didn't, but it was a very good space horror game. It was also not a bad shooter for the N64. It also had a semi-metroidvania thing going on, where you would need to replay levels with new equipment or another character to get collectibles and find secret and even main story levels.
