Quick Look: Sports Champions

I want this, come on holidays and a PS3/Move bundle.

The calibration problems are exactly why I'm not going anywhere near this thing.
 
Yeah, I'm sure it kicks major ass when you have the perfect setup, but who the hell has the perfect setup?

Seems alright. But other than random sports and mini-games, I can't think of any other good application for these types of controls.

I love the greenscreened QLs for motion games, great idea.
 
Also, would you say that two sticks per player is really the intended/ideal experience?

Looks like Wii Sports... but that's not necessarily a bad thing.  Definitely a decent enough start for the Move's life-cycle.   
Also... Gladiator Duel.  My favorite real-world sport.

Confirmed: Ryan really likes vibrating blue and purple balls attached to shafts.

Yeah it looks like the move stuff works really well, but I already have a Wii, so  I already own this game.

Great QL. Green Screen tech was working clean! Surprised at how good it looks.
 
The game looks pretty fun, maybe a little shallow but technically seems to be very sound.

This QL will probably go down in history. You guys are on to something with the green screen stuff. If you don't use that to overlay a little image of the guys playing on the couch during at least QLs for AAA games or, just maybe, for the next Endurance Run, I might be a bit disappointed.

It's strange, but I kind if want a ps3 now. Mostly for the gladiator and archery games.

I was going to hold off on buying this, but after seeing sports champion in motion, I really want to play this! What's even more interesting is I own a wii and wii sports/resort.

I gotta say, except for the avatars, everything else looks kinda neat. I had exceptionally low expectations for the move.

Wow. I am very disappointed in the move. Very. It doesn't seem to respond as well asthe Wii, and that's been out how long? So not buying.

Great, sweet. Now bring on all those 200 mini game titles with better visuals.

This looks surprisingly fun.  Not really sure that I want one though.
Also Jeff looks like he's losing weight.
 
I'd also like to point out the helicopter in the background of the volleyball game.  I hope that it will be considered in this year's awards.

Yeah only because it looks better green, I own a PS3 and even if I didn't I wouldn't say such a thing about Move just because of that. I don't have allegiance to console manufacturers, it's incredibly dumb. I think Kinect looks terrible and I won't be buying it. No matter what the cost. "

Well, this looks surprisingly not horrible, especially for a pack-in minigame collection.
Still, not seeing anything that makes me run out and buy a move controller or two.

Based on the character reactions getting a bogie in frisbee golf is justification for suicide.
 
I really don't care for the characters at all... this really needed some kind of customization and quirkiness. I just don't understand  why Sony is dead-set on this "realistic" (yet completely UN-realistic) character design.
It's just bizarre. I suppose I would learn to ignore it but I would be way more into this if I could make a dude in a monkey suit play beach volleyball instead of these clothing catalog models.

Sports games instead of playing the actual sports always boggles my mind. Especially if said sports are as inexpensive and common as table tennis

Didn't sell my cousin on Move, I thought it looked pretty good actually. Its a better Wii Sports than Wii Sports was. Still, Kinect is still more interesting to me so we'll see.

The gladiator game is a blast and I was only playing with a single move controller. I can't wait to pick up another one and play it again!

This is probably the best Move demonstration video I've seen so far.

The games look fun, but the characters and their behaviour to what's happening looks terrible. I'm still on the fence on this PS Move stuff, it just needs more fun looking games before I'm ready to take the plunge.

Looks like a fine version of the original Wii Sports for PS3-only owners.

im planning on getting Kinect just so i can try it out but i also bought Move on day one and to be honest its pretty amazing ive been gaming for around 25+ years now seen the best and worst and this is far from the worst (worst being VB or the NGage), i have Tumble, EyePet (which is pretty fun), and Sports champ the only thing im sadden by is the same argument i have for Kinect how long will time pass before we see new innovative games for them. I'm getting DC for Kinect and thats about it not if MS has the right idea on what to do with it so ill leave that to the other developers, but for now Move is pretty great if your just jaded on motion i dont blame you but trust this the games some developers have been pimping lately are pretty interesting so just try and keep your eyes open. GB for life

The package that includes the game and the camera only comes with one controller wand, right? It doesn't include a second wand nor the navigation controller(s).
