I have not seen anything indicating that it specifically requires Wii Remote Plus. A regular Wii Remote should be fine.

anti-climactic ending, oh well, love seeing the guys play another mario game together! xD Honestly this game almost sells me on getting a WiiU, almost, but I'm also considering buying a bigger harddrive for my PS3 and bingeing a bit on DLC and games.

I still like Mario games.

I am older than jeff, and will say i have been tired of Nintendo since after i first played the originals. Nothing against those who love the series and such, but every time i hear "new", it looks and plays the same as the old with nothing more than modded versions(see this years releases).

Bought a Wii for Galaxy (and Smash Bros), but not getting a Wii U for this (...yet). Looks amazing, but as they stated it is not as 'hardcore' as the Galaxy series until the end, and focused more on the coop, so guess I'm in no rush to grab it. Sure Nintendo 'needed' to get a jump on to the nextgen, but even if the system drops to 199 I can't justify that for one game. A shame so many people will miss out on this great game... Put it on Steam please!?! (not such a crazy idea is it?).

This game looks fantastic from what I see in this quick look. It's becoming more and more tempting to buy a WiiU but not quite yet. I still don't have a 3ds for crying out loud. Thanks for this video guys. I love the "co-op" antics of Giant Bomb.

The Wii U is starting to get some great looking games, this looks great. Galaxy was one of the very few Mario games I've enjoyed these past few years.

Oh man, including a fucking ROM-hack is a great touch. I hope to see much dumb stuff like that in the future. Now when Sega and Nintendo are on good terms, they should do an official-ish Somario style hack. Jeff roleplaying as suicidal Luigi was pretty great too.

Well at least we didn't have the Year of the Cat, that would have been worse then the Year of the Luigi.

I like this game but it's overrated. Everyone is giving it perfect scores. It just feels too much of a trifle compared to Galaxy. Didn't really care for 3D Land either, but it was geared toward single player at least.

I don't think that's a good comparison. You can say what you will about Mario. It always has been a platformer and always had to do with collecting stars and saving Peach. But it also has a different mechanic from each game to the next. Something it doesn't share with Call of Duty, which has the same mechanic each game and they just try to make it look more awesome each time.

Mario 64 was something very different in 3D. Sunshine added that water thing, which they did a lot of stuff with. Galaxy did something new also and so on. There is a different thing going on in each of them. Of course there are sequels sometimes to those types of games (Galaxy 2 for instance), but we're talking about Call of Duty 6 right now (Ghosts). I even make a distinction between the first three and Modern Warfare counting from there. That's 6 extremely similar games in 6 years. We're not talking about Mario Sunshine 6. Or Galaxy 6.

I indeed don't think I'll give Call of Duty 21 a warm reception 15 years from now. But I might just still really dig a new Mario game at that time also.

This game looks awesome! And this quick look to me was almost like a Three Stooges sketch, where Patrick is the straight man but Vinny, Bradley and Jeff were the stooges constantly killing each other in the most hilarious ways!

O how much money Nintendo would make if they gave up on the console wars and brought this game to PS/xbox consoles.

I've never understood this at all myself. This game looks gorgeous, but I can't imagine having any fun whatsoever.

After the last few bloody awful Mario games we've had on console, this looks like something considerably more exciting.

Just don't see the appeal of this when Rayman is so much better.

So Nintendo finally turned on the internet & found the following phrase: "What do we want? CATS. When do we want them? Meow." Game looks good though surprisingly late considering how many Mario games were out between the last World like this & this one.

I've actually tried this game and it is SUPER-FUN! Even if me and my brothers should have not stayed up, we did. It's THAT fun! Just the startingscreen is just... wow. Basically it's the next step after New Super Mario Bros series. And they really outdone themselves this time. Too bad some enemies just vanishes after a while though. Like the cat-like goombas. You kind of miss them later on.

Jeff's hatred for Luigi is pure I tell ya!
