Quick Look: Super Mario All-Stars

Best Quick-Look ever? So enjoyable. Loved hearing Ryan spewing endless amounts of Mario Bros. 3 knowledge.

I bought it, and I don't feel a damn bit ripped off. 
 
Also, nice QL.

Jeff's SMB3 play is disgusting. I agree with Ryan, SMB3 is sick as hell (and the best Mario game).

Love the now favorite line from Jeff about being 'so serious that i never died that way'.  While not being that much of a fan of the later mario games, i do remember playing the hell out of SM2 because of the funky game design compared to the others in the series.

This makes me want to play Super Mario Bros. 3 (GBA version) again on my DS.

I've never had the love for Mario like most gamers, don't mind admitting I was more of a Sega kid. Still, I can appreciate how special these games were back in the day.

Jeff, you're trying to get into the Minus World wrong! You have to crouch and jump into the wall, not the block.

Yay for my childhood.

I remember the one time I legitimately got the hammer suit in Mario 3.  Blew my MIND.  Frog suit be damned, hammer suit was this secret, unheard of impossibility.  At that point, nothing was off limits.  I honestly thought there'd have to be a piranha plant suit.

This kinda makes me want to dig out my old SNES and pop in Mario World...

You can totally jump on those sky-Bloopers and there absolutely were 7s in the NES Mario 2.

This Quick Look does a great job of channeling the collective old school game love/knowledge that often makes the Bombcast such a blast (no pun intended).

Note to Jeff and Brad:  they totally could have released this, which was just one cart on the SNES. It was created later when the SNES came with games besides Super Mario World. And dude, it's a rushed game that wasn't even near as good as Super Mario Bros. 3. Pinnacle? Bullcrap. It's good, but not THAT good.

Oh dude, Jeff, you've got it backwards. Miyamoto said that World was rushed and not what it should have been and Super Mario Bros. 3 was the best.

You were doing the minus world wrong.  It's duck then jump into the wall.  Anyway, I remember playing the original SMB2 to completion for a contest in Nintendo Power.  I got a medal or something.  It was totally boss at the time.

C'mon Nintendo.  If this had SMB World or SM64, I might get this.  I can't in good conscience re-buy All-Stars for 3 times the price it should be.

I can't believe this is the exact same thing as the SNES version - they didn't even do anything to the game.  Either way it was still an entertaining QL.

wow, so they just burned a 4Mb rom to a DVD and charged 30 bucks for it? that's amazing.

I cant believe that for 25 years of Mario Nintendo just repackaged a Snes game. Fucking shame.  
 
Heres to hoping they do something better for 50 years. 
 
Oh yeah and World is the best Mario game of all tizzime.
