I just got done watching Unprofessional Fridays, so I'm expecting them to be very positive about this bright new IP.

Im not sure what kind of crack Ben is smoking, but that sounds nothing like Sam Elliot.

There's something uncanny valley-y about everything in this game except the car models. Just something about how everything looks and seems to handle...

Domino's is leagues better than Papa John's what the hell are you on about, Ben? It's like you haven't even had their thin crust.

Maaan...From the upside down "L" being an "R" to the main point of the game being to collect followers, the attitude is what will probably prevent me from playing this game...that and the crappiness of my video card.

What the hell is wrong with the physics and most importantly the gravity in this game? Every jump Jeff went off of resulted in his car being sucked back down to the ground like it had King Kai's Planets gravity.

This gen has really sucked for arcade/fun racers outside Forza Horizon, and if you're on Playstation you're shit outta luck.

It seems like they've barely improved on The Crew at all. It looks very pretty but so did the last game.

The whole thing Jeff talked about where you make a wrong turn and lose your way is exactly why I hated Burnout Paradise.

This whole asthetic definitely feels like Forza Horizon but without the charm. And what's the point of making a big open world if you aren't going to cram a bunch of shit to do into it? Racing a train sounds dumb but I dunno, at least it's goody fun.

this looks better than I expected (although wtf is an 'Air Drift'?) but I think I'll just continue doing Dirt dailies until Forza comes out.

The only place I can identify the pre-race voices is that somewhere along the line, DJ Atomica was disembodied into four pieces and four very different people absorbed his soul and now, their sole purpose in life is to be vaguely positive while you race two laps over and over again.

I haven’t even watched this video yet, but I skimmed the comments and want to say that Little Caesars is the best trash pizza.

This seems like a game that wants to go for an 'emergent gameplay' thing, but they forgot to make the game itself fun or engaging in the first place. It really does feel stripped down from the first game too.

Little Caesars is garbage- but it's the garbage I need.

It feels like this thing needed another 6 months in the oven (as evidenced by pvp not being available until the winter) but they had to get out before Forza so they rushed it out the door.

• I'm enjoying the game more than Jeff (partly because there's a lull in racing games right now), but it's weird that they removed so many things from the first game.
• Why can't it matchmake you like the first game would? I shouldn't have to go to reddit or join a special discord to make plans to play a game called The Crew with other humans.
• Why did they remove the skill zones out in the world? I find myself just fast traveling around instead of exploring because there's nothing to find.
• The cop stuff was a fun addon to the first game. They said they didn't include it here because it doesn't fit the theme here. You aren't breaking the law, these are sponsored events. But nothing to replace one of the most fun activities from the first game...
• Why does everything I want to do take like 2-3 steps more than it should?
• I unlocked all of the events in like 6 hours, now i'm just working on my "Icon Level", which just gives you parts every 10 levels and no new activities.

I'm hoping Ubi's recent trend of exceptional post-release support continues with this. It's almost good. But by then Forza Horizon 4 will be out and why would I come back? I don't think this game is "hot garbage" or anything hyperbolic that people like to say around here, but it's frustratingly "almost cool". Like, they already had the map, why did they remove things from it? Even some of the cities have less detail than the first game. It's so weird.

Why did that crop duster murder those European-race-car-drivers? What kind of dystopian future have we wrought?!

this game lacks just about any and all humanity it feels like. Feels like it was made in a lab.

I posted my feelings from the closed beta in another crew 2 video posted. The whole thing feels so tone deaf like the devs haven't played any video games since the ps2.

Really liked this game of what i played in the beta. I think i might pick it up.

Ben's Papa John voice is just Senor Cardgage and I love it.

I can't tell if it's the game or the QL, but this is boring as hell to watch.

Look—I love !!! as much as the next fellow, but “Yandus” was in GTAIV a DECADE ago. Surely, the developers could’ve selected a newer or more different tune to include, rather than making me pine for a more halcyon time while simultaneously highlighting just how bereft of any novelty this thing is..

The Crew was an interesting idea that failed to live up to expectations. It was a huge map but pretty boring with most of it being made up of fields/desert/mountains and I imagine you can make most of that with something like Speedtree and the cities themselves were tiny and lacking in any sort of detail. There's also the part where it's a racing game where the driving part doesn't feel very good. Even the story felt like it was from a by the numbers PS2 racing game so let's just say they had a lot to fix for The Crew 2 and it doesn't sound like it's entirely successful. The huge map is still there but just as lifeless as before, the driving still isn't good enough and they've replaced the revenge story of the first game with no story at all and it's just about wanting to become famous.

Ubisoft's games of late have had great post-launch support that have really turned the games around so I'm guessing we'll have to wait and see but I'd rather see great games from day 1 rather than waiting for months or even over a year to see that happen such as we saw with For Honor and Rainbow Six but I guess that's a trend for Ubisoft at this point.

seems like Jeff and a lot of people that try this out and have grips on the handling don't know about tuning you can do in the performance settings that change how the cars handle vastly ,which is dumb on ubi's part for keeping such a crucial thing hidden away.

still a lot of this feels not done enjoyed playing around in the beta with friends but just like the first one it's gonna be a hard sale wait for me.

I would subscribe to a higher tier premium package that would use the extra funds to move GBWest the fuck out of SF. It has just gotten so tiring
