Would've thrown my vote for an Endurance Run too if I hadn't finished this game twice already! It's truly great and unique. Anyone who played it can generally see what Heavy Rain is going to be, which is this but better and more HD :-D

I almost on impulse bought this game about 7 times, looks like a fantastic modern classic.

Indigo Prophecy (or Fahrenheit as it's called here) was one of the few games to really freak me out. Mostly because the game froze in the middle of one of Lucas' trippy sequences with the dead guy RIGHT IN MY FACE WITH A TERRIFYING EXPRESSION. I couldn't turn off my PS2 as it hung and had to pull the plug. It was the worst time for it to screw up ever! I had nightmares. <<
 
It was a decentish game (although it started to get reeeeally action heavy). That said, I'll be glad if I never have to play another breathing sequence (Carla? You can breathe by yourself. I can't do other things while controlling your breathing!) or another sequence of that flashback with all the searchlights.

Ryan and Vinny skipped out on a lot of content during that first investigation scene. When i played Fahrenheit on the PC it didn't let me leave until i discovered a lot more stuff

It's interesting that you set up mistakes for yourself to criticise yourself about later when you play yourself investigating yourself. Yourself?

After this QL I actually decided to get the game. So far into it I'm liking it.

Wow. I was already excited for Heavy Rain and now I can't wait. For $10, I might have to play this, too. I loves me some dynamic choices.

Was an awesome game, excepting the ending stuff.  Even that wasn't bad, but it wasn't as compelling as the first portions of the game.

I loved this game.  I don't know why...it gets so ridiculous as it continues, but I really enjoyed it.  I like the noir aspect, I think.

I've played the game, was fun in the first half, bewildering and confusing in the second.  Still, it was worth it.
 
Also, is there a chance that we'd get a video of the preview build?

So, is this game European? I stayed in a hotel in Portugal for a month and they had a combination wasing/drying machine in the room. It's small, and doth both jobs, albeit not very well...

People asking for a ER of this must be high. The game is 5 hours long. Download it off Xbox Live if you want to waste a lot of money. I don't get how ANYONE thinks this is a good game.
 
The story, the way its told, characters, character development, cut scenes, repetivity, etc is all so horrible in this game it will make you want to cut yourself. The game is a rock solid turd.
 
With that said Heavy Rain looks a lot better, but anyone who honestly liked this game stopped playing it after the start bathroom scene. It's so freaking terrible I could rant about it...and so I shall.
 
1) Game is very short.
2) The black guy in the game is 100% pointless. There is no reason he even needed to exist. They could've just focused on the girl cop and the lead character, because anything the black guy participated in could've been done by the girl.
3) No attention to detail given. It's like 30 below out in one point at the game and the black guy decides to play a game of basketball against one of the most whitest white guys ever outside in shorts and a tank top....
4) The Indigo child gets just thrown into the game at the very end and was not made to feel important at all...yet the story had to do with what she could do.
5) The game only has 3 things you do the entire game. Hit right stick to interact with stuff by hitting up down left or right on it. Play color coded games of simon says. The final is hit Left and Right trigger fast....that's ALL you do. To make it even worse the parts that could be great cut scenes are all covered up by these games of simon says so you don't get to see the awesome action that could've been going on.
6) 100% pointless nudity and sex. It didn't flesh out the characters, and it didn't feel organic. It was nudity for the sake of nudity and mindless sex just thrown in for whatever little shock factor they could get.
7) Terrible story that's far from believeable. At the end of the game you are taking the Indigo child somewhere to stop what's going to happen, and the 3 bad guys who are after you...which are multi billion dollar companies only send like 2 snipers, 1 random dude, and some electro glowing dude. I mean they have been waiting for this event for thousands of years and you send 4 people? Come the hell on.
8) At one point of the game you wake up in a hotel with blonde hair. Literally 5 mins later you have brown hair again...wtf was the point of dying the lead characters hair for one scene?
 
I could go on and on, but this game is a rock solid T U R D! If Cage wants to make a movie make a movie, and if you want to make a game make a game...but he seems to think just making a game where you do repetivite actions while a terrible story folds out is entertaining. You have to make a FUN game...and he disregards that. I'm all for innovation(I Loved Flower this year...that's an experience game), but seriously know wtf u r doing.
 
Cage is about as bad as Peter M where he will promise you the world and talk out of his ass thinking his game will revolutionize, but in the end you are left with ...that's right you guessed it... a turd.
 
I hope Heavy Rain isn't a turd, because the game LOOKS great, but if it's anything like Indigo I'll pass.

I played this when it came out for PS2...   The PC version is horrific.. using a keyboard in this game is crazy.  But a great game...  if you like those weird mess with your head kind of games then you should buy this. 

Do they realize that if we turn it up enough to hear the game dialogue, the GB guys' voices will break our minds with their loudness? These QLs where you kinda need to be able to hear dialogue and such are kind of a poorly- produced bummer. :(

LOVED this game.

Didn't know this was a precursor to heavy rain. I just went to buy this on steam. I am so pumped for Heavy Rain.

The first two thirds of this game was one of the best video game experiences I've had. It's more intuned with the "Interactive Drama" genre that they're using with Heavy Rain and I'm perfectly okay with that. If you want a game that's mature in all the proper senses of the word then this is the game for you....

For those of you interested try out Dreamfall: the longest journey and Shenmue II for the xbox. if you enjoyed this. All 3 very enjoyable adventure game experiences.

How did I miss this the first time around?  Looks good for its time.

I just bought a copy of this on eBay for $50, new and sealed. 5 minutes later I found out the sex scenes were removed from the US version. Fuck.
 
Shoulda just bought the PAL version... for $30.

I got this game for 12 bucks used and really enjoyed it (mostly the first half the story goes down hill after that). I'm very very excited for Heavy Rain.

Looks pretty cool, this should be the next Endurance Run!

Fahrenheit is my favorite game.  Steam selling this for 10$ is such a steal you should be arrested upon checkout.
