This would work on xbox if they wanted to work with Microsoft to get it on there. Seems fine on PC though.

There are quite a few nice games developed with that software-- Spelunky on the PC is a gamemaker game, for example :)

Just would like to say that this is a game I've played and it's complete and utter ass. They touched on some of the issues: you can't see shit (as in, literally, every enemy is constantly obscured by various effects or callouts), you have to do port forwarding to do multiplayer, and loot is effectively nonexistant (I completed the game. I found one piece of loot. I was able to craft absolutely nothing.) Even with port forwarding, multiplayer is INCREDIBLY janky, and fails the vast majority of the time. There is no easy way to join a game with friends, you simply have to find their name in the list (there is no filtering, and the menu scrolls incredibly slowly). The interface is pants. It controls like buttered butts.

I played through this game with two friends and I regretted it.

@Soulblitz : Yes, you can. The game would be harder though, and it wouldn't help much in terms of visibility.
I don't recommend buying this game because of its many flaws (not being able to see anything in battle being one of them). I have to say though, I had some fun playing and making fun of it with a couple of my friends. It's not completely terrible, but certainly not good either.

Seconded.

I'm not sure what Jeff and Brad see in this one. The art style is nice, I admit, but it doesn't make up for the fact that the keyboard controls are terrible, the abilities are boring and the progression very limited, and the entire game is just an incredible clusterfuck the whole time. You can never see anything in fights, ever. It's just not fun. Avoid.

Thirded.

A weird way to describe it but for the few hours I've played it feels like I paid $10 for a F2P game. Loot and blueprints are sparse so it requires a whole lot of grinding of areas over and over again just for a chance at loot, blueprints, or the materials needed for the blueprint. Or you could just rerun areas again for the money and then buy the loot or blueprints. Either way it takes a while. And yeah, shit is just always happening on screen. Also since I chose Cleric I'm just using my heal constantly so I'm even less aware of anything. It's a pretty convoluted control scheme as well. Please give me more skills than I can assign to these 6 arrow keys. Please don't just use 1-9 like everyone else because arrow keys make it look more accessible or something.

Hey, I am one of the developers for Wanderlust. Just wanted to say thanks for checking the game out and thanks for the great video.

We realize that Wanderlust doesn't cater to a lot of gamers expectations of a retro action-rpg, but we are working tirelessly to refine and improve the game. If anyone wants to check out the demo, it is available on our main website to see if it is a game for you, there is literally hundreds of hours of content.

A lot of the comments mentioning a grind are a bit misleading though. Once a player gets into hard mode, items and tokens become a lot easier to obtain. We never intended for players to do heavy crafting in normal mode or even early in the game. Crafting is primarily used late in the game (hard and epic modes).

As for the visual clutter. This is something we have gotten a lot of feedback on and I think it is something we will look into improving. I am not quite sure what we should do just yet, but if it is an issue for you, you can go into the visual options in the escape menu and turn off all the combat effects.

I think if someone is looking for a class with more flashy skills, they should not be playing the fighter. He is primarily a class that has tons of passives and relies on countering and blocking. A flashier class would be the alchemist or elementalist.

Again, thanks for checking out the game :)

I'm a pretty picky person, especially about retro style, and I think this looks swell. The only thing that bugged me was the combat effects, which you said you can turn off, so it seems pretty much perfect.

Keep on keepin' on, guys.

Just FYI this game has not worked properly on my system yet. I got the 4-pack about a month ago and I'm the only one who has been unable to play without the game slowing down to unplayable frame rates within a minute of launching. The devs responded to my email about this on the 7th saying that they were working on fixing the issue but I still haven't made it through the tutorial with more than 5-10 FPS.

This kinda reminds me of an old ass Korean MMORPG. I think it was Nexon TK or something?

Anyway, this seems kinda cool, might have to check it out.
