I don't understand why they are criticizing censoring "the N word" when they themselves won't say it. When used in the appropriate context, any word can be spoken. It's just a word, when you treat the way they are, that's giving this word unnecessary power.

This game doesn't make any sense. Beyond the obvious, the rhythm mechanic looks unsatisfying and completely unrelated to what happens in the fight.

And to many, many people, it is not just a word, and using it frivolously/hurtfully still has plenty of baggage. This is the bullshit that white people decided in a post-Tarantino world, and it's got to fucking stop already. Who made you the king of race relations to decide that a word some people find hurtful is "just a word?" More importantly, who does it really help to say the word?

It's like Snoop saw the quick look of Stay Dead and said "That shit looks dope. *Exhale~" Then he made his own game and well, it speaks for itself. Looks not very good. He should've gone the full nine and just done pure FMV for this game. It probably would've cost less to get his friends cast and filmed than it was to model this crappy off-brand GTA art style.

I think the Multiplayer is just two people playing through the story, not one player is America, and the other is the character they're fighting. Either way this seems shoddily put together!

I never said anyone should use the word "frivolously/hurtfully." They were talking specifically about the word, and in that context where a word is the main subject of a sentence or thought, it should be said/quoted for the context it's in. And just because I didn't write "I believe" or "maybe" in my post mean that I am some king and my word is law, it will always be my opinion.

I also acknowledge that they may be unable to say that word on CBSi, but if that is the case they should be relieved the words were censored.

I'm sure they're not banned from saying it, but why would they? Criticising them for not doing so is way off base in this context. They're not putting out a Snoop Dogg video game, promoting the man, his music and his message... then censoring it. The hypocrisy of that -- i.e. wanting to get rich off the Snoop Dogg "brand" without having to deal with any of the controversy that comes with it -- is something that is worthy of note. Jeff and Ryan not using a potential racial slur whilst playing a video game really isn't.

Not that I personally actually give a shit, and I'm sure Snoop doesn't either. He sold out a long, long time ago.
