Also, seeing this show appear has become my most exciting GB experience now.

Finally one of these with somebody besides Rorie. Love the guy, but he doesn't appreciate old games (he's said as much before), and it kinda shows in these.

Hoping for PC98 dungeon crawlers, bargain bin Polish Amiga games, and mahjong RPGs next time.

The beginning of this is some straight up Neil De Grasse Tyson Cosmos shit. I love it! Old video games, "What are they? where are they?"

Great selection of games this week, really fun show. I really loved playing lemming when I was still in the single digits of age. Wish they had jumped to some later levels to try out the other lemming tasks that can be assigned. The SNES star wars games did seem pretty fun, even if I could never get to far. I had A New Hope and Return of the Jedi, the latter is much more playable. The game boy star wars games are not very fun.

The one time I miss this, I miss Lemmings :(

Excited to see this one. I only played the N64 version of MK Mythologies, so I missed out on the amazing FMV.

Lemmings is one of the first games I ever played. Amazing.

Dan remembers Odell Lake! That was the game when I was in elementary school--that and Number Munchers. My school's computers never had Oregon Trail, for whatever reason.

I played Lemmings in computer lab for the first time, too. I absolutely adored that game. Had a copy for the cd-i, lol. I almost preferred it because you didn't need the stupid instruction manual codes to start the game...

My favorite show on the site. Really like seeing these old games.

Seeing Super Star Wars brings me back to wasting a summer of my childhood trying to beat all 3 of the Super Star Wars games on Jedi difficulty. I did it but I probably shaved off years of my lifespan in the process.

Mythologies was fucking weird, but I played a lot of it. I played far worse shit on the PS1 so maybe that's why I found an odd amount of enjoyment out of it.

Love this series! As someone who is a little but younger, and didn't play many M games when I was young, this is a great way to educate myself on the histories of video games. Seriously, I enjoy it so much. Quality as always. :D!

I remember Super Star Wars VI being the easiest of the three, the only one of them I ever beat. Well, except for last two impossible fly in and out of the death star levels. And The Emperor was also a bitch.

These guys are usually at their best when playing stuff that they like rather than whatever came out on any given week. Unprofessional Fridays are great when they manage avoid that pitfall but they've been relying on the new releases way too much. This feature forces them to avoid that crutch and I feel is the better feature of the two because of it.

I don't remember Lemmings as being big, yet those first few levels are familiar to me without ever playing the game. That's gotta say something about it, I guess.

Oh damn, Brad bringing up Computer Lab at school made me remember the one at my Jr. High School. I played 7th Guest there and it scared the shit out of me.

I really like this show. Old games are very interesting, it is also great to have something to look forward to on Wednesdays. A year ago I was thinking how fun a game where you play as fighting characters and explore big areas while fighting lots of less powerful ai guys would be. It is interesting to learn a game along those lines has existed for a long time. I already knew of street fighter x mega man, but I didn't play that game much.

Lemmings! Ah, that takes me back. :D

@gimbal_lock: What's weird to me is that Unprofessional Fridays used to be exactly like that. Where they would have a game on their mind lately and want to go back to and shoot the shit about it. Now it's become some sort of TNT/Professional Wednesdays/Unprofessional Fridays hybrid thing and a ton of it feels like they're obliged to just come up with something to fill their "slot" on UPF. So it's sort of strange that they've created another show that more or less recaptures the mood that started UPF in the first place.

The Lemmings' flowing hair animations are always amazing to me considering how few pixels are used to create that effect.

I was just watching the long SNES anniversary stream they did in 2011, and Jeff played Super Star Wars in it.
