Pretty entertaining quicklook/unfinished, Rorie. :D Got me laughing pretty hard towards the end.

Oddly enough, this made me want to play Destiny a little more just from some of the comments made.

The fact that the garrison is solo content REALLY bums me out. Solo content is the worst part of WoW, and I'm usually in a group from the moment I come online. I hated phasing when they first introduced it, and I have a feeling I'm going to hate this because it looks like the benefits of the garrison are worth getting, but you have to get them alone. Ugh.

It always boggled my mind that the GB crew had a problem with motorcycles in wow because it broke some sort of lore. Warcraft 2 had gnomes flying around in gyrocopters for gods sakes and the pre warcraft 3 lore mentioned them being a part of the first war as well. There has been precedence for this level of technology for almost the entire life of the series.

I got into the lore in Warcraft 3 now it just seems like a mess.

Looks nice. I guess most outsiders won't notice it, but Wow's graphics have improved quite a bit since the TBC era.

Im not sure if its always applicable but when Dan has done a lot of quick looks i have seen he is very good at giving lots of pertinent info about the given game he is covering when he is the one running the quick look so much so that it was instantly noticeable how professional he was about it. Just my two cents.

Goddamnit, watching this video is like being a recovering cocaine addict and seeing people doing lines in front of you.

This story is the prelude to the expansion. It specifically describes Kairoz handpicking a past-Draenor from among a large number of potential possibilities. The one he ended up picking has a number of differences, even before he and Garrosh arrive. The most obvious being that Garrosh was never born in this one.

Game looks like shit. A relic from 2005. I guess people enjoy the social aspects though, so Bliz just has to give them something to do.

me and some peoples got back in on this to play this xpac. we all skipped pandaria. i have to say, i still haven't played a game that's brought a social dungeon experience together like WoW, doing dungeons is basically the whole reason i play.

Brad's "Oh! Now it's funny!" Was hilarious to me, dunno why.

@besetment: People in your party can come to your garrison, although from what it looks like that I have seen, each upgraded garrison looks the same. So theres not really an incentive to do so.

Watching this now, I have no idea why I liked this sketch as a kid. There's no way I understood all these sex/boner jokes at that age.

I know it's stupid, but seeing a level 90 doing "hundreds" of damage feels really impotent.

@dippa: I'm pretty sure Dan was talking about the Love Rocket being immature.

So glad they neutered flying in favor of ground mounts. Popping a mount and flying from objective to objective and NPC to NPC and gathering node to gathering node just made me goddamn anxious and fidgety, and I stopped feeling like I was in a game world entirely because everything was so far below.

I hope we stay grounded for the entire expansion.

@dippa: You must have missed the part where rorie said "love rocket" just before dan said "Oh grow up", I'd assume thats what he was talking about and not looking at mounts.

Funny final 10 seconds and some other good jokes throughout. This was neat. I was deep into WoW for two to three years solid. After Wrath of the Lich King I got burned out and haven't had any inclination to go back until Dan started playing for the subscriber vids. After watching this, it does seem comfortably familiar and inviting, but I don't have the time for Warcraft any more. Besides, a couple of hours playing Diablo 3 usually satisfies my leveling/loot needs.

I don't think SNES games still hold up visually.

Didn't really watch this, heard some of it in the background... BUT Brads last comment was a perfect way to wrap it up!

This is a game where 99% of the content is "do a bunch of stuff to get a thing you want". Mounts would lose all value if everyone had all of them and they are one of the most coveted things in wow. And this entire games existence is predicated on people playing to get things they want to get. If you took away one of the biggest aspects of that system it would have an enormous impact on the number of people that continue playing (and paying) resulting in blizzard losing billions of dollars.

So no, beta only, obviously.

I really want to get back into WoW casually. I sold my account years ago and can't imagine starting over (though leveling seems to be a joke at this point). I missed all of the Panda-Time expansion and most of Cataclysm. Buying the game again would depend 100% on if my old guild is still kicking.

I feel like I buy these xpacs, level my character, and then quit. I can't get into dumping hours upon hours anymore. Seems interesting where they're taking the story.

Man, I'm kind of glad I never got into WoW.

It seems like for people who do get into it, there's so much content that you could never find a good reason to pull yourself away. Thankfully, this video just looks like nonsense to me.

My only problem with this is you didn't get into the skill trees. It's one of only a couple things I care about because they keep making it duller and duller with every expansion.

My biggest complaint with the last expansion (Pandaria) was they made skill trees completely meaningless and non existent. Now you just choose one of three almost completely identical skills. It's awful and takes so much away from the game.

I heard they were going to change the skill trees. Did they? What are the new skill trees like? Are they still completely pointless and uninteresting?

It seems like now they are adding even more to the game that takes away from socializing. At what point is it not even really an MMO anymore because they keep adding things that disincentivize you from interacting with anyone else?

I don't know. WoW has been going this direction for several expansions now and I just don't get it. They add so many things that make grouping easier and QoL in the game easier but then they add other stuff that takes so much away from even playing the game. It's why I can't play it anymore for long stretches of time- I feel so little incentive to do so.

Like always, i'll probably play this expansion for a month and get my two characters to max level and then quit because it's not as fun to actually play anymore but I'll keep holding out hope it will be at some point.

I've only played WoW up 'till level 30-ish several years ago and I'm never gonna play it again. But I still enjoy the WoW videos from GB; gives me a good sense of what's going on with that world. So thanks :)

Rorie that thing following you half way through this video needs to be put DOWN!!! Argh

I think it was Rorie riding on a giant polar bear with a dude holding a Blizzard flag and talking to a giant named 'Garrison Ford' (or Fort?) when I realized that WoW is probably not for me. Lots of numbers, lots of goofy shit. Nobody seems to care about the story, not even Blizzard themselves.

Sorry but this is just too dumb for my tastes. But to each his or her own I guess.
