Unprofessional Fridays: 01/15/2016

Talking about how countries write dates. I've never understood why the US does month/day/year obviously the logical way is year/month/day or day/month/year going in a step from the longest period to the shortest period or the shortest period to the longest period. Going from the medium sized period to the shortest and then the longest makes no sense.

Speaking of input lag I use only old LCDs for gaming so I get low input lag. I had a 2008 32" SONY LCD and when I upgraded to a 52" I went looking for a used one of the same model but bigger. New TV's often have insane input lag but this 2008 TV have input lag around 10ms instead of the 50-100ms most TVs have now. Because new TVs have so much "smart" stuff and post processing that is supposed to make the picture better which takes processing time.

I don't know anything about those things either, but isn't it super obvious to you that there's an echo in the room? It's making their voices sound blown out.

Loved all three segments this week. Really, really good stuff. Even after seeing it on probably like 10 UPFs the Gang Beasts physics stuff is still hilarious, every time one of those crazy acrobatic leaps would happen for some reason I just lost it!

Gang Beasts tip: use the kick to counter someone lifting you in the air. :D

I took a trip to Kansas once, both sides of my family are from there, we learned the "use fireflies as jewelry"-thing from those Kansans, their version was to rip the glowy part off and squeeze out a line of the glowing liquid across your finger to make a ring. Kansans are weird.

Glad to see the studio coming along. No more boxes! And lights! I'm always down for UPF though I will say the last two featured some games that were maybe not the most interesting to watch. So excited for Windows 10

I was a little concerned about this episode when i saw the thumbnail, but MAN! was I ever wrong to doubt. This was one of the funniest episodes I've seen so far.

I haven't laughed that hard in ages. :D

Between the bootleg rocket jumps and the call backs to Viva Pinata, I kind of really need to hear @brad's reaction to Slime Rancher.

I watched it last night with my wife. She couldn't look away from the whole segment with Dan's dancing game. Just ridiculously magnificent. Thanks Dan!

This was the first of seen of Gang Beasts in a long time and at first I was a little worried that it might have lost some of its charm but by the end of UPF I was sold on the changes and updates. The headbutt is great!
