Achievements are extra challenges added into video games that sometimes carry a point value or unlock bonus material, and are sometimes solely for bragging rights.

A Knock out or KO is when, example being a fighting game, one of the players is sent into a state of unconsciousness.
The delay between what you do and when it actually happens, latency can result in a lessened ability to enjoy a game or get high scores.
A Japanese term adopted by fight game enthusiasts, referring to the situation where one player is down (laying on the ground), or getting up from a laying position, and the standing player attempts to keep their advantage. Although the concept is generally associated with 3D fight games, it can also be seen in 2D ones (i.e. throwing a fireball which the opponent will get-up into).
