Interesting changes, possibly wipe, (probable according to the dev), but hey, reworking of how damage and levels work so people aren't so confused so that is good.

@artisanbreads: The devs say "Coming in a few days", probably early next week. They intended to make a smaller update but started cramming in all sorts of tweaks so it's gonna take a while.

That's cool. I appreciate the changes already I just yeah would rather not spend too much time pimping out my home base. So will my items carry over though? If they're in my ship?

Any Predator inspiration? It totally looks like that Predator ship in Predator 2, at least I think it is Predator 2 as I barely remember that movie.

@artisanbreads: Not a 100 percent on that but I think ships are bound to characters which would mean it's a full wipe. I had no luck finding silver for the distress beacon on multiple planets so I welcome a galactic reroll.

Yeah they just say wipe and your character would go with your ship. Oh well. Might wait for that to jump back in.

Beginnings on my tree house/banana plantation. I want to go all out but I'll wait til the wipe to keep building a new one upwards. I hope you can eventually sell food you make or produce.

I just activated the "Inactive Robot" with no real idea as to what might happen though I did suspect a Boss fight. I had one attack that basically one-shot me. Does this really mean I have build it all over again? Because that kinda sucks.

Guess that might be a good excuse to take a break, maybe until the big patch.

Pro-tip: find a village with guard NPCs and spawn the boss there. They boss will attack the NPCs too and they will promptly murder it. ;)

I think he stays there forever? I had a friend on the other side of a safe wall when I activated it though, so I don't know. I know that the first boss will stick around.

Seems like a lot of fun. My session ended with someone saying "I'm gonna get naked," proceeding to take off their armor, and then the game crashed. Seems fitting. Really wanna do some MP after a character wipe.

Not for me, he was gone when I got back and no amount of searching yielded anything resembling a robot. I build it again today fairly quickly as all I really needed was pixels, I then proceeded to kill him by standing in my doorway and hitting him with a large sword. kind of a boring fight, but that has been the case with every combat encounter so far, still, it feels more satisfying than it did in Terraria, not sure why. What I really want is to be able to redesign the whole ship, it only seems fitting.

Thanks for the server, fiddled around a bit and donated my bed collection! Tomorrow is patch day and character wipe, so have fun in the meantime. FUN GAME IS FUN!

Yup, the server went into a read-only mode for whatever reason.

Anyway, it's back up again. I'm really sorry about this! I'll run a fsck once the update hits and I have to take the server down again anyway!
