Ok, but doesn't have the magic of the original
Turtles in Time Re-Shelled is a pretty basic 3D re-imagining of the original SNES one, and while it didn't translate perfectly you'll get some enjoyment out of running through it for the low price tag.
- Combat can be confusing at times as your player will shift great distances on the screen when striking and you can often lose track of which turtle you are.
- It's sometimes difficult to hit in the direction you want, an optional right stick directional striking control would have been nice.
- The Bosses feel really cheap most of the time, and there's an odd jump in difficulty from the fodder you face in the rest of the level(s). The original game had challenging enemies during the levels, all of which seem to be a push over here.
- Doesn't have all the same original bosses, music, or challenge of the original game, feels like some missed potential on the nostalgia.
- Short, and relatively fun to run through coop with 2-4 players.
- For the most part they stayed true to the original level designs, even down to the traps and powerup placements.
- Would have liked to have seen a couple newly designed levels added.
