The Fifth Colossus is the fifth enemy fought by Wander in Shadow of the Colossus. Like the game's other Colossi, it is a large golem that appears to be at least partially constructed from stone. This Colossus resembles a bird of prey or roc and is located on a lake due east of the Shrine of Worship. The lake is also the site of a flooded ruin that juts up from the water's surface, providing Wander with a few dry footholds to stand on. The Fifth Colossus is the first airborne enemy encountered by Wander, and one of only two Colossi capable of flight along with Phalanx. It is also the fastest Colossus while flying at full speed.
After provoking the Colossus with arrows, Wander can bait the creature into performing a low swoop by standing on a row of stone pillars just barely breaking the lake's surface. This allows Wander to jump onto one of the Fifth Colossus' wings and begin searching out its weak points.
