I don't mind the idea of the graphics, myself, but I think they need a little tweaking lest they become very old very quickly (and I think they're already getting there as is). Specifically, I think they could be styled more after the old tricaster transitions, which were mostly quick and impactful, only on-screen for around a second, maximum. Think of the explosion, the "bopped" or the falling money. All used to great effect and generally enjoyed, if not loved.

So yeah. Make them shorter and less distracting (and maybe add a light sound effect if you think it'd work), and I think you'll find a sweet spot that makes them a lot more appreciated.

The graphics just need to be smaller. Covering up Jeff's reaction to getting slammed is ruining the best part of the joke.

Yeah, maybe cut back the overlays like 30%... I don't think you have to nuke them all together, b/c they are fun! It can just be a bit too often, imo.

New Garfield with Gerstmann! Not gonna lie I actually thought the recipe idea in the game seemed inspired at first, but it looks like a tedious collectathon slog. Jeff freaking out over missing jumps over water will never not be funny.

Enough with the graphics spam. Yes the graphics are awesome, doesn’t mean that you need to spam them incessantly. Sometimes several times per minute.

I get the appeal but this is not the first video with graphics spam and it gets annoying as fuck after a while.

Also they are much too large and shouldn’t cover two thirds of the screen.

At least let me see Jeff‘s anguish, Ben’s devilish grin and Brads beautiful mug.

It isn't that folk are missing the game, it's just when you're watching anything in general like this, the constant use of overlays get annoying

Yep, fullscreen gfx overlays that cover the actual video for 1-2 secs... a bit too much. My nightmare is Twitter integration and live donations.

The overlays are cute. Maybe make 'em a little smaller and moved to the side or something, though if I were Jan, I'd be tempted to boost the number of overlays by at least 500% in the next video. But I'm big into being extremely petty.

Oh man thank god. Hadn't seen anyone mention this before and I thought I was going insane. I do think the graphics are a bit long and take up too much of the screen (I wanna see bummed Jeff), but that I can cope with. The stuttering, though, is legitimately unpleasant to watch and seems like it continues even after the animation plays.

Just wanted to add my voice to the chorus that the graphics are amazing please never stop them, don't listen to the people that hate fun. However I do think some people bring up good points about maybe shrinking them slightly and fixing the weird lag issue they cause.

No rage but I'm in the 'less is more' graphics camp.

It's the same three graphics over and over. They cover almost the whole screen (including the guys' faces) and they tank the frame rate hard for several seconds. The video is an hour and 45 minutes long and watching the same three graphical overlays over and over again gets old after the hundredth time or so (at least for me)

It's not like we're calling for a complete ban but maybe make them smaller so that one can actually see the video, find out why the frame rate goes to shit every time an animation is played and fix that and use the overlays more sparingly instead of incessantly spamming them.

Also they're not just using them on shitty games, the inflationary use of them was also pretty distracting on the Breaking Brad stream and Super Mario brothers doesn't deserve the "why would you watch the game it's shit" defence.

Or weird idea: don't play extremely shitty games if you then need to fill up the stream with fluff like Ben's purposely lame jokes and excessive use of graphical effects to keep people engaged.
