Like, I might play this game, but fuck this fake esports commentary shit. Something can just be fun on its own without needing to be broadcast to the world and sponsored by energy drinks.

So I don't know what's worse, the fact that Capcom is trying to make RE a e-sport or that they had this fake ass commentary over the video.

Aside from the cringe-inducing commentary, this doesn't seem offensively bad in any way. It's just kinda extremely disappointing that this just looks like yet another forgettable competitive shooter among the sea of other forgettable competitive shooters coming out soon.

I'm sure this all done live and not staged at all.

Honestly I don't have any problems with multiplayer RE games (though I'd prefer another Outbreak game) but can fake e-sports commentary be the recipient of 2015's "PLEASE STOP" award, Please?

To preface, I am totally fine with lackluster resident evil games. They have tended to be not incredible games for a while now.

The only thing this game has going on is somewhat interesting mechanics. If it was $30 I could understand this game being reasonable.

But good lord, fake e-sports commentating on a game that isn't out yet is a pretty big turnoff. Even for me, a guy who enjoys playing e-sports games. I hate when games really push to be "the next e-sports game." It's just embarrassing.

Fascinating how they just refuse to learn from such great showpieces as the Halo 5 or Evolve live commentary. This will be a fun watch - apparently for the wrong reasons - but still fun!

@champ5auce: I am absolutely getting that, couldn't figure out what exactly was so weird about the commentary and what you said pretty much nailed it. This was god awful to watch though, and I seriously hope there's more animation and rigging work to be done because if not...fuck me.

Also, I miss MXC something fierce. That show was god damn brilliant.

This sounds like what I imagine I would sound like if I tried to commentate a third person shooter. That is, real bad.

I just read through the comments and I've seen 3 people defending this. WHO ARE YOU PEOPLE! How can you look at this and go YEAH GET HYPE! The game play looks boring and standard the animations are trash the zombie mechanic looks annoying at best. Seriously why even have the RE name on this. I don't even have an affinity to RE I don't even really likes those games yet this left me with the biggest feeling of "why" I have ever had.

Not to mention one of the commentators literally calls one of the players a veteran. The game isn't even out yo. Fuck, this fake it till you make it attempt to seem like a legit e-sport is easily the worst I have seen.

well this looks like garbage. Mechanically it looks like a free to play game from China.

The game looks like it plays horribly, the commentary is terrible, this is an abomination.

MAAAAN this was brutal to watch

- The last few RE/BH game we have made have been crap, so let's make another one.

- We really have a very poor grip on how to make competitive weapon shooters, so let's make one of those.

- Oh-No! We show videos of game play to people and they have NO CLUE what they are seeing....I guess lets just put an eSports style commentary over is so we can explain it.

I think this take on RE/shooters looks interesting, having the zambies there as a sort of impartial creep just hanging around (emergent gameplay!), but after 1 min I had to watch it on mute.

Damn, it looks like they tried to cover up a janky mess with a billion cuts and terrible commentary.

I would rather be trapped in a room with actual zombies than play this game.
