I really enjoyed Gray Matter and should play the Gabriel Knight series at some point. This just looks dumb though.

What's sad is I can tell the writing is there, somewhere. The script and narrative are probably pretty good. But dang, everything about this trailer is so wooden and stiff and lifeless. I'm interested in seeing how it turns out though.

All of the characters move like they're made out of rubber.

I saw "From the Creators of Gabriel Knight' and turned this off. never again.

I kinda agree, doesn't look like it does anything that necessarily needs to be real-time rendered, and the animations looks kinda awkward. At least they've gotten water reflections mostly right this time around, in the last trailer the reflections looked hilariously bad.

So this is not a Sims 3 Expansion Pack?..

This was a kickstarter game with a budget of 450k, so no, it's not going to be as pretty as an AAA game.

I think the game looks good. It's a shame that the animation doesn't live up to the potential of the rest of the graphics but considering the Kickstarter barely scraped by, and was for this and a Gabriel Knight remake, it looks better than I'd expected. As long as the story is good, it should make up for it. Though hopefully some of those bad line reads are replaced or at least at a minimum.

Yup I definitely sense a bit of homo erotica vibe here but not as bad as the show Sherlock. I was watching that with my gf and she LOVED it, in a totally different way then mine.

I've really dug some of Jensen's games and novels in the past, but I'll probably hold off and just watch Vinny play this some Friday down the line.

I can't help but see skinny, hipster versions of the boss from Saint's Row and Race Bannon in those two characters.

I'm physically repulsed by the character models/designs/animation, like actually averse to them on an instinctive level, but it seems kinda neat. Some of the other art's pretty cool, too.

Why does his model look like he's hanging from a coat rack, even though he's standing?

Jane Jensen's name is enough to keep me interested, bizarre looks be damned.

If this looks mildly interesting to you, also play The Raven, it's fantastic.

That trailer was oddly intriguing? Aside from the rough animations, I was kinda digging how well cut together that trailer was.

Plus the homoerotic undertones are pretty great.
