The 1943 Kai: Midway Kaisen wiki last edited by bhtav on 03/23/15 10:43AM View full history

Capcom released the 1988 arcade game 1943 Kai: Midway Kaisen one year after 1943, alongside the Famicom port of 1943. The game is a modification of 1943, including modified assets, fewer levels, and more challenging gameplay.

In 1991, Capcom released a version for the PC-Engine titled 1943 Kai which further updated the graphics, added a new soundtrack, but otherwise carried over the arcade version's modifications from the original. The PC-Engine port is compatible with the MultiTap accessory.

The arcade version was made available in two compilations:

1992's Capcom Generations

2005's Capcom Classics Collection (First release outside Japan)
