Age of Empires

Age of Empires is a critically acclaimed series of three historically-based real-time strategy games. The aim of the game is to defeat your enemies by gaining military and financial power.

Characters

Montezuma

The ninth ruler of the Aztec nation Montezuma II saw his nation grow to it's maximize encompassing much of present-day Mexico. It was also during his time that the Spanish Conquest made it's appearance and initiated the eventual downfall of ancient American civilization.
Napoleon Bonaparte

A man with many titles, Napoleon was a French general during the French Revolution that made several significant impacts in European history.
Nobunaga Oda

Nobunaga Oda was a powerful lord during Japan's Sengoku period. He appears frequently in historically-themed games as a villain.
Odin

Odin is the chief god in Norse mythology, presiding over the aspects of war, wisdom, and magic. He learned the secrets of the Norse runes by hanging himself from the branches of Yggdrasil, and is fated to die in the maw of the atrocious wolf, Fenrir.
Odysseus

Odysseus, aligned with the Greeks, offered an oath that would lead into the the greatest invasion the world has seen...
Oranos

A god in Greek mythology. He is the god of the sky and husband to Gaia, mother earth.
Osiris

God of the Egyptian underworld, judge of the dead.
Perseus

Perseus is best known as the slayer of Medusa.
Poseidon

Poseidon is the son of Cronos and Rhea. When he was born Cronos swallowed him whole and he survived and grew inside Cronos' belly due to his immortality. He grew inside the belly of Cronos with his other siblings until Zeus freed him and his siblings. They then waged war against the Titans.
Queen Elizabeth

Queen Elizabeth reigned as Queen of England for 45 years and is considered one of its greatest monarchs.
Ra

A god in ancient Egyptian religion. The god of the sun, he carries a large sun disk on his head.
Ramesses II

Ramesses II was a thirteenth century bce Egyptian Pharoh
Saladin

Founder of the Ayyubid Dynasty this Muslim Kurd scholar received coronation as Sultan of Egypt and Syria in 1174. Saladin led Muslim armies during the crusades and recaptured Jerusalem.
Set

A god in ancient Egyptian mythology. Set is the god of the desert, storms, and chaos.
Theseus

A legendary King of Athens and a son of of Poseidon. He is an important figure in Greek Mythology.
Thor

The son of Odin, Thor is the god of thunder in Norse mythology. He wields the mighty hammer Mjolnir and at Ragnarok he must fight the world serpent Jormundgand.
William Wallace

William Wallace a Hero to the Scottish, A Historical Monster of a Man, A video programmers dream!!
Yoshitsune Minamoto

Yoshitsune Minamoto was an officer of the Minamoto clan during the tail end of Japan's Heian era. He has since become a popular figure in folklore and other historical and fictional works.
Zeus

The King of the Gods in Greek mythology, Zeus is the master of the sky. His brothers Poseidon and Hades rule the sea and the underworld, respectively.
