Get C&C For Free

Well, I'll definitely pick these games up and I'm glad to see EA doing something cool like this. PLEASE CONTINUE! :D  Also, that installer ROCKS!

What happened to you video games?  You used to be cool.

Best Installer ever, gets you in the mood for the game, I remember doing this as a kid, and almost feeling like I was installing a piece of Top Secret Army software on my PC. More games should do this.

Having to do an Indian rain dance just to get these games running is the very reason Steam has spoiled me.

Fuck yeah.  Tiberian Sun is what got me into RTS's.

it is good of EA because no one is buying C&C4, even though it is remotely noting like the previous games. I guess Kane's Wrath was the last C&C game before EA destroyed it.

Also that First Decade thing says it's optimized to run on XP and Vista.

Wow, that's awesome. I always wanted to play the original CNC games, but I never bothered to fork out the cash to get one. this is great.

I pirated personally first decade im not gonna pay for the crap that that game is with all its problems with multiplayer, and compatibility issues...ect  EA released a compilation and did it in a retarded way, so the fans had to fix it. and twononfive i'm proud! damn proud i pirated it that game didn't deserve a release not when EA never fixed the bugs or any thing.

Just installed all of them, and got them to work. Seems like I won't be playing any games for awhile!

A great idea for those who have yet to enjoy that which is the Almighty C&C games. I have purchased the First Decade, and boy was it worth it.

I personally don't like the new C&C games by EA. I played the game for a little while then I stopped because it lacked the originality it once had. The new ones are all about graphics and chicks. All flash no substance.
 
Please Petroglyph Games (The original C&C team ). Please take over C&C once more.

But, you're right. They don't make installers like they did before. The ending of this one is brilliant.

You do know that the first Command and Conquer has been free since C&C 3 came out, and Red Alert has been free since RA3, right? The only new thing here is Tiberian Sun.

I've still got my original CDs for quite a few C&C games, but I don't have Tiberian Sun and Firestorm. TIBERIUM GET!

Finally something I can afford.

AWESOME, time to get my C&C '95 on.

C&C and Red Alert (as well as their respective expansions, I believe) have been free for a while now.

I'm not interested in the C&C franchise any longer, but developers who release their games as freeware - especially something as high-profile and comparatively recent as the 1999 monster hit Tiberian Sun - really deserves a ton of RESPECT!

I must have installed C&C: TD, no joke, about 30 times. I thought that installation sequence was the raddest thing about the game.

Man, that brings back some memories.
 
Wish these games worked under XP64.  But they don't.  Oh well, I suppose I should upgrade to Windows 7 soon.

I do believe that the original C&C and Red Alert have been available for free from EA for quite a while now, but Tiberian Sun is a new addition.
 
I would wager that when the time for Red Alert 4 comes, they'll add Red Alert 2 and the Yuri expansion to that free list.

Ahhhhh the nostalgia. I completely forgot about that awesome installer.  Also, free Red Alert? HELL YES!!!

I bought Red Alert 3 last year and was totally blown away by it, so awesome. Totally going to download Red Alert 1 to see how it all began. This is awesome.

I think this is great and more studious should do that with their old, old games. I already own all C&C games except RA3...

Red Alert 2 had the best installer ever! WestWood in general made some insane installers, I remember Nox having a cool one too.

I played so much Red Alert and Tiberian Sun as kid. It's really cool to see companies doing this kind of thing because it great way to promote new games and it lets newcomers see the roots of the series.
