GTA IV Downloadable Episodes Finally Announced For PS3, PC

I would buy it but the GFWL point system pisses me off too much. If they sell it on Steam then I'll jump at the chance.

Though impossible, I hope that they outsell the 360. Just so that this whole 'timed-exclusive' BS may finally end.

That's cool for the PC and PS3 owners. Both are great games.

I probably won't buy this due to the fact that i need to get the upcomming titles first, Bioshock 2, Heavy rain, GOW3, BFBC2. Im still playing borderlands and will be after the launch of Bioshock 2. By the time i come around to get this GTA5 will be the big news, probably showing at E3.

Whatever. GTA4 sucked IMO. Once you start taking yourself to seriously, you have little margin for error. GTA4 failed. I wish for another San Andreas.

More great games for more people is great.

I thought they had been on GFW - LIVE all this time...

I got Episodes in a bundle with a new 360 when my previous one died. Played it for about an hour and was really fucking pissed off that I didn't get the Forza bundle. These Episodes are even more boring than the original gta4.

When I first read this I wanted to respond with: who cares, everyone is looking forward to the next GTA. But then I recalled what it was like when Vice City was finally released on XBox back in the day and how stoked I was, though it was two years or so since the original game launched on PS2.

" This is a horrible business decision if you ask me. The DLC is coming way too late. For the PC version they have to set up download servers and a payment system, which is not trivial at all, see Bioware. They are going to lose money on this. "

About time.  I wonder if the PSN downloads will require the original disk 2 years after its release?

Awesome! I've already played 'em on 360 but its good to know that you can't buy exclusives - also good to see that PS3 and PC owners will get to enjoy them too.   
P.S. TLaD was a better story experience with good characters whereas BoGT was just crazy, but still fun ... and PARACHUTES!!

I loved GTA4, but that game got old way too fast in my opinion - I'm more likely to dig out GTA3 or Vice City than the fourth one, so it's kinda meh...

I would expect to hear Mass Effect is going to PS3 as well.

Cool...I enjoyed the PC version, couldnt even finish the 360 version, something about the shooting controls in that game did not sit well with me.  Weird because usually I'm just fine with using the gamepad.  Anyway, I think Ill check it out.

Excellent news! I've been waiting for something like this to happen, I originally bought GTA4 for my PS3, while i do have a 360...I wasen't going to buy same game just for DLC.

Wonder is the advanced video editor means stuff like staging all kinds of explosions and gun fights. That would be really cool.

Even the episodes are looking pretty dated these days, GTA4 came out like 2 years ago.  
 
Hopefully they have been working on a sequel proper while the Episodes were in production.

Eh, I'm certainly not going to bother with these. I've built up a hearty dislike for Rockstar over the past few years and I really can't justify spening that kind of money on dated content for what was, at the time, a buggy-ass game on PC.

Too bad the game feels so dated now, Lost & Damned was great fun.

I wish my computer could run it, I'd of grabbed GTA IV from the Steam holiday sale, and this would've made my day. Especially with the video editor thing, depending on what it all does.

lol this DLC was too late when it came out for the 360. Putting it on PS3 now is a wast of time.

Yes! Finally I'll be able to play the GTA IV episodes on this computer that I haven't even attempted to run GTA IV on yet!

This is good news, but I am way past the point of being interested in GTA IV anymore. Too much new stuff to play!

Not sure if this is exciting to anyone, but the dlc wasn't particularly awesome.

Maybe Netflix can make a deal with Rockstar to stream their movies through The Ballad of Gay Tony, then I wouldn't have to pop in that Netflix disc every time.

I'm still confused as to why Microsoft paid 50 Million for the timed-exclusivity on these pieces of DLC. 
Did anyone care? Better yet, how many reviewers actually praised the DLC?  

Jesus, 50 million for a short timed exclusive. Microsoft really is made out of money.
