Hey, Here Are Some Halo: Reach Screenshots

27 new shots that weren't sneakily snapped off of a TV screen.

While I'm normally not the type to devote an entire story to DUDE NEW SCREENSHOTS, the nature of Halo: Reach's previous shots--most of which were crappy cell phone snaps taken of some sort of beta by some guy who felt the need to Photoshop his favorite guitar player's name on them--makes these at least a little bit more interesting. 
 
For the record, I briefly thought about pasting a picture of Tom Morello onto all of these shots, just to be a dick.

Why are people saying it looks bad? I don't have a 360, and I am sure that, whilst the graphics aren't ground-breaking, it still looks very good.

edit: I always thought it was more of a Metroid Samus look than anything else.

Fair enough.  Just to be clear, I'm not saying the visuals look bad.  I would say they look "fine" or "ok".  Nothing special, at least for the moment.

They're actually a new enemy based off the Jackals... I forget their name. They look pretty cool especially in that close up of one.

It's also pre-alpha and for a game to look like a retail game in its pre alpha form is damm good in my opinion.

One look at these screenshots vs. the screenshots for Halo 1 explains exactly why Halo plummeted out of favor with me. And I LOVED Halo 1. 
 
Halo 1 was about easily accessible fun. The plot was silly, saturday morning adventure fun. 
 
This is like some kind of immature 90's comic book about a bunch of "badasses" who go around being "badasses". 
 
The industry needs to move on.

You haven't seen the entire planet, they want you to see the planet slowly falling apart as the conflict progresses. Jump to conclusions sooner, it'll serve you much better then being a rational person who waits to draw conclusions after they have tried the game.

Not sure how the plot was silly or immature. This game was made in 2001 and it had a great story. You make no sense, what other shooters in around 2001 had what you would call a serious edge or story line? Half life? How is that any less "silly" than Halo? Making the spartan look more hard edge and lethal is what Halo could really use. IMO
