Prince Of Persia, Splinter Cell HD Collections Announced

Is there a specific reason why these HD remakes keep showing up as PS3 exclusives?

Cool. I never got on the POP bandwagon back when they were popular, but when this collection drops to $10-$20 I will pick it up and give the series another try. Would be nice to have all the splinter cell games too.

My guess is its because all three games fit onto one Blu-ray disc and wouldn't fit onto a DVD. No idea why they don't release them digitally for both consoles though. "

Well alrighty then. I was conveniently thinking about getting the first three Splinter Cells recently.
...Eh, probably still will since the PS2 versions are cheaper on their own than this collection is.

My entire point being that there's way too many of these remakes. First everything's waggle controlled, then its HD remastered, then its 3D. How about some new things? New concepts and ideas? Really using the graphics, motion or 3D to its limit?  This might be the best looking generation but its also the blandest one :/ "

While they may be old to you, they're new to millions of people out there that haven't played these games. All of which are defining games of the last generation and should be available to everyone to play. "

My favourite Splinter Cell ever by far was the Xbox version of Splinter Cell: Double Agent. What a shame they're not including that in the remastering.

The POP trilogy has been out for multiple months here already... so this is probably the least surprising "news"  has ever been to me.

Will the splinter cell games retain their online multiplayer parts? If so, I'm in.

Wait are they going to be the Ps2/GameCube versions of the Splinter Cell games or the Xbox/PC versions? If its going to be the Ps2/Gamecube then I will pass, those versions aren't bad, but nowhere near as good as the Pc/Xbox releases.

Rather have the Splinter Cell Trilogy on the 360. 

I loved SC 1 and 2, but never got around to Chaos Theory. If it looks good, I'll pick it up.

I literally just ordered the UK Prince of Persia HD trilogy 2 days ago.  ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Wow, they're really milking it now, aren't they? One would hope that one day they turn their attention to games which don't already have "HD versions" (i.e. are already available on the PC, where resolution can be adjusted on the fly).

I was hoping for a more complete collection, on more platforms. Which probably means that I was - subconsciously - hoping they're done with both franchises, as the best installments in both series have come and gone long ago, and I'm not crazy about the directions they've been taking with these at all.

Nice but they should also be released on the 360 and I hope the games (especially Splinter Cell) feature online play.
