Resident Evil HD Collection Revealed in Famitsu

I think I'm done with Veronica. It was one of the weakest of the old school entries, with having close to zero replay value, which was a striking departure from previous games which essentially built up upon reasons to head back in. Also what happened to my zombie head 'splosions, CAPCOM?? Even the original RE had the complete pop of a zombies head via the magnum. And man, that ''Battle Mode'' extra.. fucking ugh! How could that of followed after such an exceptional minigame as RE3's Operation Mad Jackal?? 
Then again, if it has trophies, they'd most likely be rather easy. As for RE4.. well sure, I could play through that again, regardless of trophies. 
 
Very curious as to if RE4 will feature MOVE support. 
 
All in all, though, I still stand by own sugar coated wish of a HD Outbreak game with improved online functionality. I don't have any expectations for something like that to happen, but oh is it fun to imagine the possibilities.

RE4 is a serious contender for the best game of last generation, and of all time. The gameplay, pacing, and atmosphere are all perfect balanced and designed. It still holds up great today. When I played through Resident Evil 5, I got kinda bored with it near the end and wondered if I was just tired of that style. So I loaded up RE4 Wii Edition to see if that was the problem, and instead I ended up playing through that game all over again without really intending to.
 
It's a paragon of game design, something all developers should look at, and that no self-respecting gamer should go without playing.

This needs to come out in NA! I've played through RE4 about 30 times now but an HD remake? Hell yeah, I'd buy it. I don't even care if it's just them milking it, that game has a very special place in my heart :)

As a former die hard Resident Evil fan... that ship has sailed. It's all about BioWare now.

Awesome, I'd love to play 4 again, and I never played Code Veronica.  I loved 4, so I'd be all over this.

Resident Evil is one of the series I'm not excited to see an HD update for. 4 was fun and all, but I don't have a rabid love for it as others do. Maybe that's because I played it for the first time last year. 

As someone who attempted to play this game on the PC a while back (close to when it was first released), I actually wouldn't mind playing a higher res, hopefully controller-optimized version of RE 4. Though I'm more concerned about how they are going to handle the controls  rather than what they do with the graphics since the terrible controls was the reason why I couldn't finish the PC version of RE4.

Resident Evil 4 is as close to perfect as games get. Not even hesitating picking this up for a third time.

I am super jacked for resi 4 again. much better than 5

I did everything there was to do in this game on the cube and it is one of my favourite games ever. I would definitely consider buying an HD remake to make up for the lackluster RE5

I do believe I will be picking this up when it crosses the ocean.

I only care if the controls were remapped to play like RE4. The graphics would also have to be fixed I guess.

I'm wrathofconn, and these are my two favorite Resident Evil games in HD.

I'd would totally play Code: Veronica and RE 4 again for achievements.

I'd like to see them try two generations back and get some RE1-3

I already own RE4 for GC and Wii, and yet I'm still excited for this. Must've played through it 20 times...what a great game.

Yeah... let's replay the games that are now outdated instead of pushing forward.  I'm only interested in this if it does something new.

Hope it has move support; RE4 for the Wii was actually a better game because of the motion controls.

As someone that goes by "President_Evil," I am very excited about this. Perhaps moreso than one ought be.  
 
But still, Re4 and CV for achievements? Sign me up! As long as there's no "Get the Infinite Launcher" achievement in Veronica. Regardless, I eagerly await getting my S-rank on. Both in-game and also here on Giant Bomb.

This.  Very, very this.  We're long overdue for a return to the franchise's slow-paced suspenseful adventure/mystery roots.  When they're done with their Gears of Tomb Raiding foray, I'll be waiting. "

Cool, I would much rather play RE4 with a 360 controller than a gamecube one. Also achievements.

Would be interested in it for Code Veronica. I already have RE4 on the wii, but having it in HD would be sweet aswell.

Capcom should take its time and revamped the control mechanics to modern standards and then give the game a nice HD facelift. However, Capcom to its core is a very lazy company and would not do such thing.
