Never not tuesday

Was in a liquor store yesterday and saw a bottle of Eagle Rare (Ryan's bourbon of choice). I told the friend I was with that I bought a bottle of it the day it was announced that Ryan passed away to have a drink in his honor with my wife. After preparing it exactly like how Ryan described on the podcast, I took three sips and my stomach rejected it into the sink. That day I also found out that I'm not much of a Kentucky bourbon guy. Miss and love you, Ryan. My wife and I think about him a lot when we consume Giant Bomb content and still find it difficult to watch a quick look or listen to an old episode with him in it. We really miss his laughter.

Had sudden urge to watch the Double Fine Happy Action Theater QL so I could listen to Ryan lose his mind over the dubstep part. Only later did I realize what day it was. Love you and miss you, Ryan. :)

I've been listening to old Bombcasts, and I miss his antics with Vinny. There was this interest into seeing what makes Vinny squirm but then he knows when not to go too far with his friend. That man really did care, haha, the racing wheel debate was the best. Sigh, I miss him. Actually he passed away when I moved into the Bay Area.

A glass of bourbon to toast to Ryan. Somewhere in an alternate universe I imagine they redid Star Trek the Original Series & it got Ryan in there as a steady crew where he's fighting foam monsters + he's having a blast & during the breaks he's doing all he can to talk online about games/movies. Cheers & miss ya RTD!

i wonder why we celebrate him on the day of his passing, too. much more sensible to celebrate him on his birthday i think.

anyway i'm not one to dwell on the past, but there will always be a special place in my heart for the big guy. i'm sure he would be proud of what the site has done in his absence, and he'd probably even appreciate dan's antics as well ;)

It's a great testament to Ryan that a community that only knew him through a computer screen and headphones was so deeply impacted by his passing.

Every year I expect Ryan to reappear with a smile on his face telling us that he had to fake his death and go into hiding because of the pot smokers at California extreme.

He was a man that some of us felt like we knew without actually ever meeting or speaking to him. I still feel his loss today, and wonder what his opinions of recent games would've been, we all still miss you big guy.

3 years? Wow. Still miss you, Ryan Davis.

I still can't believe this happened, & 3 years ago, man time flies. The news hit me in the middle of the weird time in my life (losing/changing jobs), with no idea where I was going to end up, this hit me harder than it already would have. At that job I could listen to my phone while working so it gave me a ton of time to rehear all the podcasts over & over, & a new one every week was the thing I looked forward to the most. The moment I knew I'd never here "Hey everybody, it's Tuesday" again, I almost cried (In fact probably did). I've met Ryan in person once, & he was fantastic. Ready to talk about anything, always funny about it, & will to do anything at the drop of a hat.

He was truly one of a kind.

I still find it difficult to watch/listen to the stuff he is in. I looked up the Chrono Trigger ER not long ago, but couldn't bring myself to do it. Seems very wrong that there isn't anything new with him.

Seeing some of the other posts here, such as about his bourbon of choice, does make me think, though. I'd like some kind of supercut of Ryan's Good Life Guide. I really want to know what the robe-wearing cake-sitting man himself thinks the best liquors, coffees, foods, et cetera are.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who still misses him. Makes me happy to see everyone here. Ryan, I miss you. I'll always be waiting for your next video.

I had the extreme misfortune of only starting to visit the site literally a couple weeks before Ryan's passing, and even then he's still had quite an impact on me. The memorial podcast was such a human moment from the cast and it's very obvious listening to it that Ryan was a huge loss. I still listen to it when I'm in one of those weird moods where all you want to do is be a little sad. I've gone back and watched and listened to a hell of a lot of stuff with him in it and it's a damn shame we couldn't get more. I'll probably always appreciate and go back to all those moments with him that are saved, and mourn the ones that were never able to happen. That Ryan Davis was never able to see Gang Beasts may be the world's greatest tragedy.

I've been listening to old Bombcast's and watching old premium content, wanting to get some of the Ryan love. I didn't even realize what today is. Miss you.

So I wanted to make a little something with my mediocre photoshop skills the other day cause I miss this duder too.

The fact that Ryan had such an impact on so many people's lives, most of whom had never even met him, is such a testament to the man.

He'll never know how many one-way friends he had.

Every July 3rd is Ryan Davis Day in my household. It consists of bumping summer jams and spending time with the ones I love.

Has it really been three years already? Between the memories I have of him at Gamespot to crushing it on Giant Bomb during the golden years I never stop missing this man. Love Ryan Davis.

Been thinking a lot about Saints Row: The Third recently and, by extension, Ryan.

Even though we may have never met, I felt like Ryan was a friend, and his passing hit me harder than I would have expected.

Here's to you, buddy.
