Travis Touchdown Goes High-Definition in August

Fightin' otaku and ladies man Travis Touchdown has been limited to the Wii for the past few years, but that changes on August 16, when No More Heroes: Heroes' Paradise arrives on PlayStation 3.

Konami got around to confirming the North American release date for the PlayStation Move-enhanced Heroes' Paradise today because the game is actually launching in Europe right now. We have to wait.

I dig No More Heroes--and by extension Suda 51--from a stylization standpoint, but the gameplay in his games have failed to grab me. That seems to be the case with a number of Suda 51's games, which I'm totally okay with. I'm happy with hacking and slashing takgin a back seat, though, given how many games lack any sense of style to begin with. It's why I'm looking forward to checking out Touchdown's HD debut.

Does anyone know if this is Move only or if it will work with a standard controller, because I would totally play NMH again but I'm not going to shell out $100 to play it with a Move.

I've actually played this via import, and was kinda disappointed. The sharper graphics are nice, but it is technically inferior to the Wii version. They added some bad frame rate stutter and longer load times (can't install the game either).

The version I played was also censored, but I'm thinking they'll take that out for the US release.

So will I be able to shake my six axis up and down and have this thing work?

I love No more heroes, it's probably the best title on the wii. Can't wait for the HD version.

I recently got rid of my Wii stuff so I'm looking forward to playing this thing on my PS3. It's a remake of the first one, right?

Defiantly getting this day 1. Always wanted to play the original but I don't want to take my Wii out of the closet.

They should have delayed it for a year, and put in all of the No More Heroes 2 content in it and sold it as an HD Collection in the vein of the God of War & Sly Cooper Collection. (despite Grasshopper not being Sony-licensed)

it would have made a lot more sense, wouldn't take many more resources, seeing as how the games both run on almost the same engine, and it probably would sell more copies when it comes out.  I think this is gonna sell really poor simply because so many people have already played it 3 years ago.

No More Heroes is my favorite game, and I'm getting really close to buying a PS3 just for those neat add ons.

I never played the second one, should probably get on that sooner or later. First game was crazy in the very best kind of way.

I'm really tempted to double-dip with NMH, but I think I'm going to wait for a price drop, especially if it launches at $60. I loved the game on the Wii, but there's too many other games I have to catch up on.

Maybe, but I'm guessing there's not a large amount of people who would go back to this game after three years.

Kind of indifferent to this, for whatever reason, I just couldn't get into the first one. Glad it'll reach more people hopefully though.

Probably would've picked this up if it were released on 360, but I guess motion controls are a bit important to the game.

So... they release a 360 version, but only in the region that hates the 360, and not in America, where people actually buy it?
