obviously we all wanna see what happen's to Desmond in the modern era...
Assassin's Creed: Revelations
Game » consists of 16 releases. Released Nov 15, 2011
Assassin's Creed: Revelations is the fourth installment in the Assassin's Creed franchise and the final entry in Ezio Auditore's main storyline. A few levels also put players back in control of the original Assassin's Creed's Altair, and depict his rise to the Mentorship of the Crusades-era Brotherhood of Assassins.
Did anyone else want entirely new characters/time period?
It would've been nice, but I can see this being another great game if Ubisoft plays their cards right. Hopefully they'll have something completely new for AC 3.
Of course I've wanted a new character and setting. I can understand Ubisoft's reluctance to change their well-established cast, but the cynic in me thinks they're just taking the easy way out. Brotherhood was a refinement of the formula, but if they just try do that again then color me disinterested. Adding in more varied mission types would nice: the Da Vinci machine missions in AssCreedBro were a step, but they were clunky and reminded me of why I hate most stealth games.
Nope
i'm DYING to play as Altair again, and more Ezio is always good. Leave the new characters for 2012
Yes! New character in France or England including some king/queen assassinations! Ezio is pretty old and Desmond is...boring. I don't want a game to be fully in the modern time, because I love renaissance architecture in AC. Looking forward to play with Altair again though.
with this being the burrying of the hatchet for Ezio's story i think the next ac game will have a new character area and story who knows where it could go from after this
I felt the same about BroHood. With Revelations we will have followed Ezio almost through his entire life. I love that.I thought I wanted this since the end of AC2, but I enjoyed Brotherhood even more. So I'm game for another Ezio adventure, especially now that they're saying it is really the last one. I hope thigs wrap up nicely.
Also, there will no doubt be a new story and setting with AC3.
I would have enjoyed a different setting solely for new types of architecture and scenery. Not to complain about the previous locations, but a Japanese castle would be fun to climb around.
I'm in no rush, personally I want to see Ezio wrapped up and playing as him was already referenced in Brotherhood when Desmond, during a freakout, saw a much older Ezio that he commented on, and here we are.
I'm glad they're going to stick with the three or maybe just Desmond and Ezio so that there stories would tie up nicely. Introducing a new character would just infuriate me.
Oh come on. They are wrapping this up with this game, close the loose ends for Altair and Ezio and they will move on to the next time period for AC3. They even said that this next time period will be mentionned somehow in Revelations. How fucking exciting is that?
Now what will it be? Renaissance? Its gotta be right?
AC II was already in the renaissance tho?
The only time-period I can think of that really makes sense for Assassin's Creed is the french revolution - plenty of historical assassinations and rivalries to exploit. But on the other hand I kind of had the impression that the third game would be Desmond in its entirety.
