A spaceship is a vehicle capable of traversing the vacuum of space.
Even though water in games tends to bring about death, we all still hold it near and dear to us. After all, the human body is comprised mostly of it.
It gives meaning to gravity in 2 dimensions. There is no other object which so defines Games as separate from every other pursuit. Where else does one encounter a platform but from the bounds of a video screen? ...except for delivery men.
An explosive ordinance propelled by a rocket engine designed to blow an object to smithereens. A missile is often guided, in some way, to its target. For example; by laser, remote control, or computer/GPS.
A laser is a focused beam of light, invisible through the air without some other medium (such as smoke) to illuminate it. Lasers are often used in video games as part of a targeting system, or as an offensive weapon in their own right.
A ladder is used to gain access to higher or lower ground. Also used as a weapon in most wrestling games.
Considered one of the most frequent and controversial implements of destruction in video games and real life, guns are devices that fire projectiles with explosive force.

Cars go places. Hopefully fast.
Helicopters are flying vehicles, typically with a single large main rotor to maintain lift with a tail rotor to counter rotation induced by this main rotor. They are useful in air to ground combat as well as for quickly inserting and recovering infantry close to the front line.
A large rock that sometimes falls from the sky.
Lava is molten rock, usually from the interior of a planet, and in games is often used as a hazard to players, or as a visible gameplay-area boundary.
A fruit that often provides score or acts as a healing item in games.
An airplane is a heavier-than-air craft whose lift is generated by airflow over the wings creating a strong pressure difference. In video games, airplanes are used for travel and as a type of weaponry.
A hard native crystalline carbon valued as a gem.
A vine is a plant that climbs or trails a flexible stem. In video game usage, they are plants that the player can climb or use to swing across something. They are most commonly used in jungle settings.
A fruit. In many video games it is a low scoring prize.
A fruit that turns red when ripe and has lots of little seeds. It is a bonus prize in many video games, including some in the Pac-Man series.
Collect them, orbit them, conquer planets around them -- they're a staple of many genres of games.
Chances are you're using at least one of them right now.
Set it on fire. Wander around in the dark.
A length of exceptionally sharp metal with a handle, used for centuries as the go-to killing device for the human race. It's dead simple: you stick the pointy end in the thing you want to die. Or you could always slash them with the equally sharp sides. That works too.
A citrus fruit that is round and orange in color. Sometimes it is a bonus prize as in the Pac-Man series of games. Also comes in the form of juice and soda.
The banana is a fruit that is commonly seen in video games, particularly those with animals as main characters. It is famous for its sweet taste and affiliation with primates.
An enclosed area, usually at the center of the screen, where the enemies spawn, and in some cases, return. Sometimes these areas can be entered, but it usually isn't advisable.
Used to open doors, or anything else that is locked. In any game where the player has an inventory, it's a safe bet that a key will appear at some point.
The item in Pac man which renders the Ghosts temporarily edible.
A large roundish fruit that is usually greenish in color.
An object that allows obstacles, such as rivers or gorges, to be crossed. Bridges can be made of a variety of materials like wood or steel.
