Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts
Game » consists of 5 releases. Released Nov 11, 2008
Nuts & Bolts takes the platformer series in a wild new direction, as Banjo and Kazooie return to battle Gruntilda using unique, player-customized vehicles.
Price is $40, and pre-orders come with BK XBLA code
"I thought BK meant burger king, game looks neat though!"Haha same here. Set myself up for dissapointment =[
But seriously this is a good deal that there doing.
I just saw the article on the home page here. Sounds like an amazing deal. But games that are that low of a price usually concern me. However, this game looks in good shape so I shouldn't worry. At the very least, I will have a free downloadable version of Banjo Kazooie, one of my all-time favorites.
Is there something I'm missing with this $40 price point?
I mean Shadowrun, an original game with no established franchise and no single-player mode to speak of, retailed for $60. So why would Banjo-Kazooie, a fully-featured first-party game with an already established fan base, not go for the same price? I guess I just don't understand why Microsoft is being so generous. I'm not complaining, but I have a nagging feeling that we aren't being fully informed of something.
"Fosssil said:Yeah, I think it's that and the fact that platforming games aren't the biggest sellers anymore. Either way, it's great news for people who were already looking forward to this game. : )"Is there something I'm missing with this $40 price point? They want to use Banjo Kazooie and Viva Pinata to expand their audience, and they must think that they need lower price points to accomplish that."

As for Shadowrun, it was an established franchise--just forgotten about--and many people felt it was overpriced.

MS has a theory of that games that will appeal to kids and whatnot sell especially well at a lower price, go figure...
This is one of the best gaming deals of the rest of this year. I mean seriously? $40 for a pretty awesome looking game with the classic included for nothing more than the need to go to GameStop and pre-order? I'll take that any day. Plus, I never owned a N64, but I played Banjor at my friend's house and boy did I love it. Now I can own it on my 360. Sweet.
