wow, shame. Still price cuts are always nice to see

Nuts & Bolts takes the platformer series in a wild new direction, as Banjo and Kazooie return to battle Gruntilda using unique, player-customized vehicles.
Ridiculous Deal of the Moment: Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts
Having bought all the other A++ releases this Xmas I was willing to let Nuts & Bolts drift on by after seeing ill reviews elsewhere on the web. Giant Bomb's podcast convinced me to give it a go (even paying outrageous EU prices) and "Wow", easily my favourite game this year. So far I've sunk 29 hours into it and still have 4 TT trophies just out of my reach!
There is a definite learning curve and a slight initial frustration at not being able to get as fast times/good performance from your vehicles as you'd like during opening levels. Stick with it and unlock/find the better parts then the game becomes a whole heap of fun times. More so if you have friends to compete with on leaderboards.
Listen to GB, buy this game!
UK massive, report in. Gamestation dropped the price to £19.56, I think that holds for a week.
My copy is in the post FTW!!1!!!1ones
I just don't get where Microsoft is coming from on this one. It's obvious that they released it at $40 because they didn't think anyone would want to buy it. But the thing is, when you silently release a brand new game that looks sort of kiddy at $40 without any kind of marketting for the game at all, it just makes people suspicious. Like, "there's a new Banjo-Kazooie game? why haven't I heard of it? and why is it only $40? Sounds kinda fishy."
In terms of first party Microsoft titles, I don't think it's that absurd the compare Banjo-Kazooie's release to a straight-to-dvd movie release. And nobody gets confused about the quality of straight-to-dvd movie releases.

Wow thats crazy! I absolutely love Nuts & Bolts, its a great game that you can keep playing. I picked it up the day it came out for $80! I was hoping that the european price would be 40 euro's since the price Brad metioned in his review was $40 (new games cost 60 euro's here when $60 in the US). But no, outside the US everyone is paying full price, which is pretty lame. But when you look at the game, it is totally worth it! N&B is a great game, i'm amazed that not everyone already has a copy.
Just as a reference; i bought Lost: Via Domus for $25 (my girlfriend is a Lost fan), and that is a BAD game! I'm in the gamestore the next day to return it, and that was the day they had N&B so i payed the extra $55 and picked that up! Now if you can buy N&B for just $25 and you don't, you are a bad person! I just wish i could! Its worth a lot more!
I can confirm that I just walked into GAME (in the uk) and it was reduced to £24.99. However immediately next door in Zavvi it was still £39.99. So much for competition.
Also: Amazon is kerrrrrrrazy with pricing. Its all to do with demand because over here in the United Kingdoms they are selling Professor Layton for £89.99!! thats around $130 if my recollection of the failing economy is correct. Proof is here.
It's probably just cheaper for people to go out and buy a LEGO set. It's the same thing, really, only probably less funny.
Even more ridiculous is that you get 2 for the original price of 40, that's totally nuts. I wish I could buy it there and run on my European 360... I bet the disc has that stupid region block.
Viva Pinata took a while to get its legs, too. Ultimately it sold a million copies. It probably had a lot to do with the TV show, which eventually established itself. Banjo might be a case where word of mouth will bring it up in sales. At the same time, I don't know; it was an overly crowded fall lineup. I don't know what to say besides that this game is a total classic and I've been getting the word out and posting my review in various places.
Ugh, it's so depressing.
