Hey guys. I kept looking and looking for a topic on a BombSquad BF3 server on the consoles (the PC guys have a pretty excellent system going), and i decided to just spend the money and make my own.

The name of the server is Giant BombSquad, and it is currently set for 90 days (expiring in September).

Right now it is set for normal rules and Epic Battles map rotation (because what other types of battles would the GB community have?). Let me know if you have any feedback! I am going to go add people from the 360 gamertag thread to the server VIP list in a minute.

Could you post times for game nights? It seems like if you don't do that, then people stop coming.

Does "Epic battle maps rotation" mean playing on the larger maps with something like 500% tickets? That is no fun at all. Please, for the love of God, no. Hour and a half long sessions are not fun, and while I love the big maps they sometimes feel empty and the smaller maps help alleviate that a lot.

If I'm wrong then please, completely disregard this comment.

@believer258: Epic Battles just refers to the specific playlist of maps that the server is running through at the moment. Its just the biggest maps with vehicles and conquest modes. the tickets and rules are all set to normal. I hate those 500% games as much as you do. of course that was just to start with. we can always change the map rotation at will, no worries.

@AhmadMetallic: I will do that next time, but i just wanted to get the thing started so we have something to go on. once it is nearly expired, i will get the paypal donations going. we just need a place where people are playing and enjoying themselves in order to even get anyone to want to donate, y'know?

yeah sorry. last night got pretty busy for me, so i didnt even get to play on my own server. there are 22 people in there now though :-) anyone who posted in here should be in the VIP list already, so you jump to the front of the line if the server is full when you try to join.

we do need to figure out the GB game night situation. my first instinct is to run it at the same time as the TNTs (thursday 6ish CT) or saturday in the early afternoon (saturday morning cereal with your giant bomb). anybody else care to weigh in?

A lot of people will be watching TNT's at that time so that's a definite "not good" from me. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings are probably best.

I'd be in there playing except I have to download the 2.3 gig update and my Internet is being slow as hell. Might not make it on tonight.

I jumped in earlier today, got two Team Deathmatch games in a row before leaving. Is TD in the mix due to popular demand, or what? I'd rather it not be in the rotation at all, if nobody has any objections to removing it. I just don't come to Battlefield for Team Deathmatch, period.

Also typically play Hardcore, but I know that isn't what the majority of people enjoy. Going to take some serious getting used to.
