A couple of times today I was killed (stabbed in the back) while piloting the UAV. After respawning I ran back to the UAV terminal and jumped on again.

Instead of the UAV view I got a third person view of my character. I couldn't do anything here so I backed out (O button).

After that when I tried to go back to the terminal it would never prompt me to pilot the UAV again even though the UAV wasn't blown up.

The UAV was effectively disabled for the rest of the time on that section of the map.
 
Did anyone else notice this?

I still have yet to ever use a UAV..someone always jumps on it  too fast :\ Definitely certain to be some bugs in an early version of the game, though.

Yeah, the first time I saw it I pressed O and it went into a view behind my character. I couldn't move teh UAV up or down, just forward and backwards on the ground and non of the animations were playing. Of course, I thought it was because the UAV was busted in some way, because I hadn't encountered one before.

Is it useful? I've never noticed it on the battlefield.

Are you saying that you could....BLOW UP UAVS!? zOMG!!!!!

Ive jumped on the UAV once or twice but I dont know what Im doing with it and usually die right away.  On the other hand I've shot down probably 20 UAVs, and I love defending harbor (before the final stand) and getting to the heavyMG to the left and killing the guy at the UAV box across the water.... love it.

I love sniping UAVs with the M24. It's the perfect marksman excersice.
 
Never encountered that specific bug though.

It's best to post Battlefield issues on the UK ElectronicArts forums since the North American ones are rarely modded or looked over. Also especially since the DICE team actually uses the UK ones.

i came in here thinking it was mw2. this is a lot more interesting.
