Billy Candle a young Mexican drifter left his home ranch after growing tired of his parent's quarelling, especially as his step-father (Thomas McCall, whom we see in Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood) is an agressive brute. He travelled for two years across the United States, hopelessly and half-heartedly searching for the lost treasure of Juarez. After giving up the search he decided to return home to his mother, but at his return, he is to find his parents dead infront of the barn door. He flees the scene making himself look the murderer. Now he is on the run, as he was all his life, with Ray McCall, the furious brother of the dead Thomas, hot on his tale.
He is one of the game's two main protagonists. In his levels we are confronted with sneaking levels and a lot of stealth. He is good with the whip and can jump and vault over many objects in his way. But his endurance can not rival the ferotious Reverend Ray's and neither can his gun-handling.
