I 'am truly surprised by how much fun the multiplayer in Bioshock is. They have an awesome set up where you have your own apartment where you choose your weapon and plasmid loadout then you can customize some parts on your character. I 'am guessing you get more weapons, plasmids and items as you rank up. The ranking system is a bit like Modern Warfare how it awards you with bonus points for assists, kills, and points afterwards. The controls are a bit different from tradition shooters, it actually reminds me of Fallout. But overall its a lot of fun just to mess around with.

Bioshock Multiplayer is Sick!
Something else I found out thats cool, they have these things called trials which are like challenges from MW2. It all stuff like get 30 electro bolt kills, get 30 shotgun kills and whatnot. It seems to be getter better the higher the rank.
Just picked it up at my local midnight launch and I think I'm about to meet up with Tennenbaum face to face for the first time. With all the multiplayer features/progression and the weighty feel of the combat I can definitely see this game filling the void that Modern Warfare 2 would fill were I not so poor... but it's 4AM and I need some sleep... Time will tell once I get a good 6 hours of sleep so I can fire it back up again! Happy hunting!

(P.S. I'm pretty heavy into Borderlands, too - always looking for a good coop game)
I'm glad to hear that Digital Extremes is getting some respect on this one. If I remember correctly DE made the maps for Unreal Tournament.
You are right. I was one of those who got very pissed off when I heard there would be multiplayer, and said that it was not nessecary. I am glad to say that all those concerns are now gone. The multiplayer is awesome.

It's a bunch of fun...absolutely insane and hectic... I have a couple of issues with getting stuck in the scenery, freezing and ive seen some weird stuff happening with seemingly invincible pistol users but it has been really fun so far...
if it didn't freeze up every half an hour it would be awesomer.
" @SJSchmidt93 said:Oh, okay.... so long as the movement/shooting doesn't feel like Fallout 3. That game was terrible in that sense; most unfun action ever." @kmdrkul said:Its the same controls, what I meant by different is that melee is B, look down the sights is right stick in, left trigger is plasmid stuff like that. I will say that Bioshock 2's multiplayer is probably the worst I've ever played. The guns are mad underpowered, the movement is janky, and the accuracy is way off (the shotgun has no spread at all). Is anyone else with me? Seriously, if you're thinking about getting Bioshock 2, buy it solely for the single player.
