The third game in the series branches off from the last two DS games because it has decided to change from a fighting game genre to a RPG genre. The game`s story is created by the creator of Bleach, Tite Kubo. The story follows two new characters to the series and leads up to the Aizen/Arrancar series. Players will be able to go into battle with many different characters from the series and battle it out against a plethora of well-known villains.
