    So like when it says +2 to a certain skill, it's just adding to that skill without actually showing up? 
     
    Or is my game glitched? Because When I add a mod the bonus skill points aren't showing up on my skill tree.

    I'm pretty sure it just adds it without adding a stat to the skill page.

    yes you can get above 5/5 it doesn't show on your skill page but just consider it as two more points with the same benifits

    related question, if you get a mod that says +40% corrosive damage or whatever, i'm guessing you need a corrosive weapon to begin with? 
    it won't just add corrosive damage will it? 
     
    i obviously have not gotten one of these yet, just saw them in the shop...

    yes, you have to be shooting corrosive damage for that to work.

    Another question, will the skill bonus apply without you having some of that skill, or the skill tree requirements?

    From what I've been experiencing you have to have at least one point in the skill to get the mod to add anymore to that skill.  Gearbox really should add more tooltips to the skill tree screen that reflect the current mod you have in.

    Another question. When a class mod says something like +40% team accuraccy, does this apply to yourself as well? Or just the team?

    Just in case the link above didn't clarify, yes, team bonuses on class mods do include you, the wearer.

    Copy of my own response in another thread: 
     
    We tested it with the sirens Diva skill which increases shield capacity making it easy to test and it´s in the first tier, so it´s always unlocked.  
    We had a mod that gave +2 to the Diva skill
    Basically it only increased shield capacity when i invested a skill point and it also increased shield capacity more when i had 5 points invested. 
     
     
    1 : You only get the skill point benifits if you already have 1 point invested in it not just unlocked. 
    2 : It is possible to get bonuses beyond the 5 point skill limit.

    it doesnt show up on the skill tree it just does it. and if you dont have any points in taht skill already, it wont do anything
