    Anyone else having trouble getting into Borderlands in the steam version?  I am, and a friend of mine as well. I actually got into the game once, and then it crashed when I tried to load a new area.  Anyone? I'm wondering if this has something to do with that patch that's supposed to be coming soon. Maybe they accidentally screwed something up on the steam end of things. 
     
    EDIT: steam forums have a whole thread about this. Apparently the solution for now is to disable stat tracking in the options, game options menu.

    The patch is out (I got it before I left for work at 1100 EDT), I would force a check for update. It is likely related to that as you believed.
