I know Civ V has stolen you away from your first love but...could we get more Starcraft 2 in the Bombcast? Please?
Or hey i had an idea, a separate podcast with you and Brian Lahey from Shacknews discussing SC2 related stuff (I remember seeing him on your friends list during your video blog) he's good...you're good. It makes sense.
I'd listen to that. I'd listen to that HARD.

HEY BRAD!!!
Right, because that was the best part of the Bombcast, the hour or so dedicated to ONE GAME (and I don't even play Starcraft).
I love StarCraft 2 as much as anyone but I hate to have to listen to them talk about shit they already talked about...again.
It sounds to me like you just need to go play the game a little more.
It's pretty heavily influenced by Dawn of War i'm not gonna deny that but to say it's the same game with a few new units and one campaign is pretty dumb.
The mechanics are very similar but why would a fan of the original game want that changed? I don't get this expectation people have that a sequel needs to be drastically different. If you totally overhaul the game you might as well make a new game.
There's a reason the original is still as popular today as it is and why 2 is as huge as it is. If you're not in to the game that's cool but your opinion is just that. Yours.
" @audiosnag: no actually i have played it, it isn't that different and anyways they stole the entire idea for the universe of starcraft from Dawn of war zerg are just tyranids protoss are just eldar and terrans are just space marines. for real. "Dawn of War was released far after the 1st Starcraft. Starcraft is an EXTREMELY direct homage to the Warhammer 40k universe, but Dawn of War (which is based on the Warhammer 40k universe) was released a long time after Starcraft was.
Ouch. Insinuating I'm young due to a previous comment. That hurts man.
Ok let me try again.
Perhaps you should relax, the thread I posted was meant to be humorous in nature. I surely didn't expect a change to the Bombcast due only to my suggestion.
In the future might i suggest you approach such threads with a less serious attitude?
Is that better? Did that meet your expectations of what a mature person posts on the internet? I really do hope so.
I hope they bring up starcraft again. It will probably get talked about again when the next update comes out.
While I've never played Civilization IV, nor Starcraft 2 -- I personally would rather hear Civ IV discussion. I don't mind hearing about Starcraft 2, but there is something about Civ IV stories that are familiar (familiar in a, "oh damn Abe Lincoln you so crazy" kind of way) and interesting. Either way, they can talk about whatever they want and I'll still enjoy it.
Have a good one.
" @pwnasaurus said:fixed." no, no more starcraft, starcraft is terrible. "millions of koreans know youre wrong "
Starcraft 2 has been covered to death on the podcast since its release (and even a little before). I was more interested in their at length discussion on Reach the other week, and I'm not even a big Halo fan. Hell, I was more interested in their nearly hour-long arcade machine discussion after L.A. Extreme. It's fine that you like SC2, but the majority of the community is tired of it being a major topic. If they want to cover patch notes in the news section or get a status update on Brad's ranking, fine; but it should stay at that.
Please no more Starcraft. I really, really hate listening to podcasts that have a nonchalance to them when talking about a game that has so much depth as Starcraft 2. A podcast discussing SC2 should be a separate podcast not some crappy half-assed, misinformed 'discussion' about the current patch notes or tournaments where the hosts bungle around and go, "Oh, I don't know, some thing like this, yeah. +5 seconds or something."
Yeah, no thanks.
