A point-and-click adventure game from Tim Schafer and Double Fine Productions, and the first huge success story for a game on Kickstarter, which firmly put Kickstarter on the map as a source for games funding.
Citizens of Giant Bomb, let me hear your pledge!

None yet, but I'm going to chip in 15 bucks after I receive my next paycheck.
Pledge means exactly that. No money is taken from your account until after the 32 remaining days has passed.
In answer to the thread creator, and in connection to the reply I gave to Brendan, I pledged $30 and then realised I wouldn't be charged until the final day of the kickstarter project is finished, at which point I changed my pledge to $110, the extra ten dollars being for postage of the poster to the UK.
I pledged $15, but really only for the documentary (I loved Giant Bomb's coverage of Bastion, and this documentary is going to be even longer and more in depth). I currently don't have a computer that will run steam (I'm using a 6 year old imac). Although with the funds they've collected, this will assuredly come to consoles/iOS, right?
$250 for the autographed poster. Can't really afford it, but point n click adventures, including the ones Tim and friends have created, are what set me on my path in life. And there are very few people who can make quality adventure games, it's a tricky genre. I consider this money a big thank you, as well as money I would have spent on adventure games in the last decade if more than a handful of decent ones had been made.
$100. I was really contemplating going for a signed poster, but... I dunno.
Maybe I'll change it to that, I haven't fully decided.
I was thinkin' about it, but seeing as they already have like 4 times the ammount they needed, i feel like i would just be wasting my money now.
Maybe i'll get it when it comes out.
To tell you the truth, i was goin' to, not for the game itself, but for Tim and the cool talented guys at Double Fine, they really do seem like a cool bunch of guys with really cool ideias, but, kinda still feel burned about Brutal Legend.
I mean, i fucking loved most of the stuff in that game, the world, the character, the visuals, the voice acting, almost everything about that game was just fucking awesome!!!
But man, the horrible RTS aspect of that game, really trew me off.
I was really enjoying the game, but at one point, i just said "fuck it, i hate this thing!!!", and stopped playing it, probably close to the end too.
It was just not enjoyable at all, and i really loved to cruise around in that world, listening to old school rock, and slaying crazy monsters.
They really should have just made it an hack and slash, that pseudo rts thing was just bad.

Wow I can't believe I didn't think of that. Derp.

I hate to ruin the fun, but I thought only officially titled and announced games are to be added to the wiki?
Nope. Untitled games have been added before and had their names changed in the wiki as they were announced. Also, the game is as good as announced, given that the Kickstarter has far surpassed the amount required for Double Fine to start production.
Also, Jeff made an edit to the page, so if he feels it should stay, it's staying.
An enormous amount of goodwill is being given to them, I hope they can deliver on a game worthy of it.
I pledged $15. It'll be entertaining to watch all the documentary videos detailing the development process.
Does anyone else wonder what the actual "sales" of the game will be, on the day that it's finally released on Steam? I get the feeling that most of the people interested in the game (i.e. anybody who knows of Schafer/Gilbert and why this game could be good) would have already donated the $15 that guarantees them a copy of the game. I assume we'll all be gifted the game the day it is released or something like that, meaning we'll never actually purchase it through the Steam store.
It makes me wonder whether this game will actually sell very well beyond the people who donate to the Kickstarter.

no you won't, 250$ is sold out :)
I'd only pay for a Constume Quest 2. I'm actually rather dubious about anything else they have made lately and downright incredulous about Brutal Legend. I had really ‘hoped’ they would stick to smaller games with tighter scopes…when Tim Schafer get his hands on big money he blows it.
I paid $15, and though I like most of Double Fine and Tim Schafer's stuff, I pledged more for the novelty of the whole Kickstarter thing. If this move works out, I think it could be a WAY better method for studios to produce niche games. Allowing fans of cult games to fund projects up front could lead to us getting sequels / remakes of a lot of cool shit.
I kicked in fifteen bucks. I'm not the biggest fan of adventure games but I'll probably be happy just watching the documentary.
Am I the only one that thinks this is ridiculous? If they had an awesome game planned they would have publisher support. Why don't you guys use this money to support indie developers instead? You know, people to whom a $15 donation is going to make a difference, or better yet Unicef or the Red Cross. Double Fine aren't starving, certainly Tim Schaeffer isn't anyway. If they were passionate about making a new adventure game the money they made off Once Upon a Monster alone could fund it. These type of games really don't require that much of an investment. What's next? Are you guys going to start helping Activision fund Call of Duty development?
@SamFo: Absolutely. It's your money, but I guess you should also start paying every other developer to make every other kind of game you like too.
At least you admit that giving them this money is a completely selfish endeavor. You're doing it because you like adventure games .I just don't get this attitude that people think they are doing something good for the world by "donating" money to this cause when there are people starving and dying all over this planet.
@SamFo:
Oh come on...that's not what I'm saying. I'm just saying, that yeah, if I gave Microsoft a thousand dollars right now so that they will make the next xbox sooner, that would be an irresponsible thing to do with my money and I wouldn't really be helping anybody by doing it.
Publishers don't want to touch the genre. That's why they're going this route. If that's a problem for you then you should stop complaining. No one is forcing anyone to pay anything.@SamFo:
