I've heard the song a million times, but I never remember the name of it.
Call of Duty: Black Ops
Game » consists of 19 releases. Released Nov 09, 2010
The seventh installment of the long-running action franchise, Call of Duty: Black Ops puts players into the early era of the Cold War (including the Vietnam War) as a member of the United States black operations unit known as the SOG.
What's the song played at the beginning of Vietnam?
" Fortunate Son by Creedence Clearwater Revival. "Pretty much a requirement for anything that ever takes place during the Vietnam war.
I mean how would we have known what time period this was in had they not been playing that song?

Give him the benefit of the doubt. He might be from a third world nation that doesn't have access to any of the popular music, movies, films, or other pieces of pop-culture from the last forty years.
Also, pro-tip: type in about four words from the lyrics of any song and then type in "lyrics" and google will typically solve this question for you.
" I actually don't remember any CCR in the game. I only remember Sympathy for the Devil and Gimme Shelter. "Gimme Shelter wasn't even in the game, was it? I only remember it being in the trailer.
" @Branthog said:I'm pretty sure it was, but I could totally be wrong. Honestly, Gimme Shelter, Sympathy for the Devil, and Fortunate Son are all essentially one giant blended 60's war movie cliche, so if you hear one in relation to anything military related, your brain probably just makes the assumption that you're hearing all three. Sort of how if you hear a movie described as "some bland middle aged white guys and a token black guy escape their wives and try to recapture their pathetic youth!" you just automatically assume that you're hearing Bad to the Bone and Born to be Wild along with it. :/" I actually don't remember any CCR in the game. I only remember Sympathy for the Devil and Gimme Shelter. "Gimme Shelter wasn't even in the game, was it? I only remember it being in the trailer. "
" @hitokiri0kenshin said:LOL. It is getting tired huh. THough I'll never get tired listening to CCR." Fortunate Son by Creedence Clearwater Revival. The songs I recognized in Black Ops were:
1) Fortunate Son - CCR - When huey first lands and Woods gets out when you arrive in Vietnam.
2) Sympathy for the Devil - Rolling Stones - During Vietnam mission on the boat going down the river shootin' shit.
3) Gimme Shelter - Rolling Stones - During the End Credits.
4) Won't Back Down - Eminem - During End Credits. (Note: Why was this song in a 60s/70's era war game? Didn't fit imo.)
