MW2 is better than COD4 in everyway possible
Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2
Most sequals tend to not live up to there predissors. Modern Warfare 2 is the acception because its a better game then Call of Duty 4 in almost every single way possible.
Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 takes place 5 years after the events of COD4. A new russian terrorist Macorov was a person that Imran Zakhaev (The person you last killed in COD4) had as a back up plan. You mainly play as Gary 'Rouch' Sanderson in Task Force 141 and fight along side with Characters you saw in the first Modern Warfare like Soap Mactavish and other familier faces. In total you play as 4 different Solders and all of the missions are fun to play. The story does have a lot of twists and turns but sometimes they dont work out very well, for the most part they do and will suprise you. However it kind of feels like they try to SHOCK you every 5 seconds and it sometimes it doesn't work out very well. Im also not a big fan on how it ended because it leaves a lot of questions behind but I wont spoil it.This doesnt mean the single-player is bad by any means. The single-player is a very intense thrill ride that you will make you want to keep playing all the way to the end, and some the the sequences can only be discribed as EPIC.
The games graphics are nothing short of stunning. People that say this is a bad looking game must have some kind of mentle disorder. There are some textures that when you get right up close it can look pixilated. Overall though this is still a fantastic looking game that always sticks at 60fps. The music also just adds to the atmoshere, it is nothing short of awesome.
Now usually a Call of Duty game would just have single-player and multi-player, but, in MW2 there's the new Spec Ops mode. Spec Ops are missions that will have you killing waves of enemies, sneaking past guards, breaching and clearing, running to the end of a bridge with enemies a head and so on. Most of them take place in Locations from the single-player. There are also some levels that take place from the COD4 Campaign, one of them has a person on the ground in a level and some one else is up in a AC-130 shooting enemys on the ground. The Spec Ops mode is a great addition to not only adds on to the game, but, also gives players who dont have Xbox Live something to do once they have beaten the single-player.
The mode thats going to keep people playing for months or years though is the multi-player. If you have played a lot of COD4 then you are going to see these changes right from the beginning. Your secondary can now be a Rocket/Grenade launcher, shotgun, handgun or machine pistol. This is where MW2 has changed a great amount that goes way beyond what COD4 did. COD4 did have a lot of customization, but, in MW2 you can have a lot more then just scopes, launchers and silencers. You can have heartbeat sensors, shotgun attachment, thermal scope, extended mags and more. There's 16 new maps to play on and at least from what I have played so far they all seem to be well designed with some of the maps not made with certain gametypes in mind. The respawns are still a problem in MW2, it can do with some of the maps being small, but, even on the bigger levels it will still spawn you in a place that you have died 4 times. Speaking of deaths there's also Death Streaks now. Death Streaks are perks that you will get after you have died a certain amount of times without getting a kill. So you can have a perk that lets you steal the other persons class or gives you a big health boost for 10 seconds. Perks are back and they also have Pro versions of them now, Stopping Power Pro for example makes you guns more powerful against vehicles. There's also a variety of Kill Streaks now, you still have your UAV and Helicopter, but, you can call harrier strikes which has a plane drop bombs and then sit around for a bit killing enemies, the AC-130 which was shown in the first multi-player trailer and at 25 Kills you can use a Tactical Nuke which just ends the game. A lot of modes like Deathmatch and Domination are back and there's Hardcore versions of modes still and there is also a 3 person mode. The 3 person mode is something you would not expect in a Call of Duty game but it is actually a lot of fun, it basicly feels like Socom but much, much more fast paced.
Overall MW2 is not as revolutionary as COD4, but, it doesnt need to be. It is still a better game in everyway possible and if you like action and FPS games then Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 is the must have game that everybody was hoping it would be.
