A Little To Far
Call of Duty 4 is one of my favorite shooter campaigns ever. The multi player was also really fun but didn't really keep me interested for to long.
Modern Warfare 2 picks up after the end of CoD4. The campaign follows a similar style and many people found it to go to far this time around and be to unrealistic. But I really enjoyed it. However i found the last chapter rather ridicules, going rogue and hunting down a man just didn't seem call of duty to me, and they really left to much open for a sequel in the future, and left me hanging.
The game looks great, but thats only on the surface. everything seems a bit to static for my tastes and the engine could use an upgrade.
I felt let down by the multi-player, it was great and all but there were to many options for killing someone without them having a chance, like predator missiles etc, the lack of dedicated servers really made a difference for me. Living in New Zealand my ping is usually to high now to enjoy the game.
Finally i found the DLC methods of this game a little cheeky, 15 dollars for 4 maps? thats ridicules, thats 25% of the cost of the game, new maps are good but add nothing substantial to the game-play experience and these packs should ultimately be free or packaged with new weapons, levels etc
MW2 is worth getting for the campaign alone, the multi is fun for a while but will in the end prove to frustrating for some to persevere.
