    Because it's good money for the mags - at least until the pages get scanned and spread online...

    It almost definitely spikes sales for the issue though. It's probably in their interest more than that of the developers/publishers. Then again, I wouldn't be surprised if some mags are more well known to the average joe-gamer than any gaming website.

    I could have told you 2 years ago that Modern Warfare 3 would be out this November...

    I kinda hope they announce their release date and EA puts Battlefield in the same week. But they'll probably release it a week early. If they release BF a week after CoD they're boned.

    I'm sorry but until they actually make a new freaking engine, I'm not paying $60 for basically another copy of Call of Duty 4, they've been using that same engine since Call of Duty 2. And since Infinity Wards creative strategist Robert Bowling came out to call making a new engine "counter-productive" it looks like Dice has my money. Activision better pull some seriously crazy campaign or major overhaul of the way that game plays if I'm gonna even consider it. Seriously I own CoD 4:MW and MW2, no reason to buy another one, don't even know why I bought MW2.

    It was announced a while back by a few people on YouTube.

    Look around for some videos for some more details.

     

    Im still not sure whether Im looking forward to it.

    Infiinity Ward has basically nothing to do with it a theres very little of the company who made the former games left.

    It could be great, or it could be a Black Ops. Expected for greatness but just bloody annoying.

    Giantbomb really seems to enjoy slamming call of duty, this thread compared with the quick look thread is so depressing! I for one love the series and when I find the time to play it, really enjoy it.

    I think the MW2 hate is a little unjustified - I know it's subjective, but that was a quality single player campaign, regardless of length.

    It wasn't until I played through (and was heavily disappointed by) the BF:BC2 story mode to realise just how well crafted their single player experience was. 

    Admittedly the multiplayer had severe issues that likely would have been addressed with a decent beta ala COD4 but, the IW guys made a damned well produced, enjoyable and crazy game.

    Don't get me wrong though, MW2 was ok, i hated Black Ops though. Most of the CoD games are ok, i just never think it's worth the money.
