    Overview

Chaos Seed: Fuusui Kairoki ("Chaos Seed: Feng Shui Chronicles") is a Japanese RPG developed by Neverland for the Super Famicom and was published by Taito Corporation on March 15, 1996. A port was later released by ESP for the Sega Saturn in 1998 which added new graphics, voice acting, and many other minor changes. Neither version of Chaos Seed was localized for other territories but an English fan translation patch of the original game was released by Dynamic-Designs on April 15, 2014.

The protagonist is charged with restoring the flow of energy between the Earth and nature, carving out rooms in subterranean caves to restore that flow and bring new life to the surface world. The game splits its time between action-RPG combat, dungeon-crawling and resource management. As the player clears out dungeons, they are then able to repurpose the various chambers for redirecting energies. They are accompanied by various human and monster NPCs, though there are also hostile creatures hoping to impede the protagonist's work.
