Clanker is a giant metal fish resembling a shark with a blowhole found in the Banjo Kazooie series. He is referred to as a whale in the quiz show near the game's end.
Once living in peace and cleanliness, he is forced into captivity by Gruntilda and made to act as a submerged garbage disposal at the bottom of the areas large pool. After Banjo and Kazooie successfully unlock the chain tethering the shark, Clanker is allowed to surface once again and rewards the duo with a jiggy.
Clanker suffered from a toothache until it was relieved by the bear and bird with the use of egg-spitting to knock them out. This grants the only other entrance into the fish aside from his blowhole.
The belly of the great shark was home to one of Bottle's molehills (who presumably snorkels through the water and burrows through shark's metal frame?) where the invincible Wonderwing move is taught and then used to guard BK from Clanker's giant rotating saw engine on the way to another jiggy.
Clanker can be seen in background of the Banjo Pilot level Clanker's River, implying that he has moved on from his now-filthy cavern.
He is most recently sighted in Banjo Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts, now scattered in pieces throughout Banjoland by the Lord of Games.
