Ok i would never in a million years think i would have to post on a message board for help on a game, but i am so so stuck on a puzzle in Dantes Inferno (Posting a game name incase it gets bugged + goes in general). Ok so im in a room with 1 box, and a lever that when i pull it makes this very very large statue of a man go up. I do not have the foggiest what i am supposed to be doing now so anyone who has got past this part could you be kind enough to help a soul in need!?

I dunno? Can you push the box? Maybe push the box onto the man to stop him going up, then push teh box off him, when you step onto the man as you push the box off him, he goes up carrying you with him.
 
 
That is a wild guess.

The box is moveable, ive pretty much pushed it anyone possible, and at the moment i am at the feet of the giant statue so when i move it up there is still now way of jumping onto him!

I have tried google, ign's walkthrough is not out yet + many other entries are just the demo walkthrough. Surely the fact that im posting it on here show im out of ideas!? "

I obviously haven't played the game, but is there a notch on the statue where you can lodge the crate so the statue can't go down? Maybe? I don't know. I'll research this and see if I can find anything.

What part are you at exactly? There's a few large men in the game so could you tell me what part of hell you're in. I beat the game twice already so I should be able to assist you if you give me more information. Maybe even take a picture of the part you're at.

Figured it out, you put the box behind the lavapot after activating the switch, thus stopping the pot reseting position and keeping the statue in its risen position.

I had trouble with the very first puzzle. Took awhile to figure out where I was supposed to move the block to reach Orpheus.

I've heard about this....you've reached the alternate ending. A boring puzzle with no solution...that is truly HELL.

Thank you to all who helped me! I can now finish this game and finally get onto Bioshock 2 ;D
