Admiral Steven Hackett

Admiral Steven Hackett is the commanding officer of the fifth fleet and an admiral in the Alliance Navy. During the events of Mass Effect, he gives Commander Shepard optional assignments related to the Systems Alliance. He is stationed at Arcturus Station.
Commander Shepard

Commander Shepard is the main protagonist of the Mass Effect trilogy. Throughout the games, the player's decisions can affect Shepard's personality, consequently changing how both individuals and entire races view him/her and the human race. Key choices can even affect the outcomes of situations throughout the story.
Donnel Udina

Ambassador Donnel Udina is a human diplomat stationed on the Citadel. He thinks humans deserve more consideration in running galactic affairs.
Dr. Chakwas

Dr. Chakwas is the Chief medical officer of the Normandy in Mass Effect 1, 2, and 3. She is very polite and exhibits a mother-like attitude towards the crew.
James Vega

James Vega is a new addition to Shepard's team in Mass Effect 3.
Jeff "Joker" Moreau

Flight Lieutenant Jeff "Joker" Moreau is the pilot of both the SSV Normandy and the Normandy SR-2.
Kahlee Sanders

A main part of the Systems Alliance, most known for her work with the Ascension Project. She is in the Mass Effect 3 mission Grissom Academy: Emergency Evacuation.
Kaidan Alenko

A human team member who accompanies Commander Shepard from the beginning of Mass Effect. Kaiden is skilled in both Biotics and Tech, but struggles to keep control, due to the physical side-effects of his implanting.
Major Coats

A British soldier who plays a supporting role during the retaking of Earth in Mass Effect 3. Is otherwise best known as the soldier who appears in Mass Effect 3's début trailer.
Navigator Pressly

Executive Officer Pressly assumes the role as the navigator of the SSV Normandy. His grandfather was a veteran of "The First Contact War" resulting in his xenophobic nature, particularly toward the Tuarians. His role is of an NPC character.
Nihlus Kryik

Nihlus Kryik is a Turian SPECTRE and a non-playable character in Mass Effect. He makes a landing on the colony, Eden Prime, to scout the route ahead for Shepard. He was one of a few who wish to submit Shepard as a SPECTRE.
