     So on my last playthrough of Dead Rising, I unlocked all the case files and got to the helipad at noon, but I didn't get the true ending. So does this mean that I have to do every single side quest that Otis radios me about? And if I let any survivors die during escort missions, does this mean I won't get the true ending? I'm just starting to get fed up with trying to beat this game, if anyone could help me out that'd be great.

    You go back to Isabella instead of going to the helipad. I think, anyway. It's been years since I finished it.

    If you completed all the case files.. then went to the Helipad, something should have happened that erm.. means you can't leave >_>
    I forget the specifics but I think you have to do what Isabella wants you to do, then you get an extra day in the Mall to find a cure, and fight damn spec-ops.

    Ah okay, last time I just stayed in the security room until noon, and the helicopter pilot was killed by a zombie. Thanks for the help guys.

    You have to meet isabella at 10am (she's in her brothers room) on the very last day. It will trigger a cutscene where you talk to her. Then you go to the helipad, ending happens, then zombies attack and you start the rest of the game. 
     
    You also CANNOT get knocked out by the military that shows up at the end. If they capture you, you might as well load a save. 
     
     
    Edit: And you certainly don't have to save everyone. I think I only saved like twenty people, and I got the true ending.
