question about dead space
Enemies will jump out and startle you a couple times but it's not scary. Most of the enemies run like they're Dr. Zoidberg from Futurama so it's hard to be actually scared.
Does that fine bit of bottom get her fun bags out at any time in the game? I could sex myself just thinking about her lol
I was scared at times. I'm a wuss, but even I managed to make it through the whole game. It's scariest early on when you still don't fully know what to expect and are learning how to play. Once you get the hang of it, it'll be frightening sometimes, but you'll be alright. Either way, you really gotta play this game. It's totally great. One of the best games from last year.

It was scariest when they didn't throw any enemies at you. You would go through a room with heavy action and then enter a long hallway with flickering lights, sparks, and plenty of air vents. You would go through cautiously all the while anticipating an attack, but it wouldn't come. You would hear things clattering and moans but nothing would jump out. It was also the mix of atmosphere and aural stimulation. The atmosphere puts you on edge basically throughout the entire game and when an enemy jumped up from the ground there would be a dissonant chord struck in the music and that's what would usually make me jump.
Not to mention the fucking loud room. Scared the crap out of me when I first entered it. I didn't know what was going on.
Game has a lot of jump-scares and a generally creepy atmosphere. It's most scary at the beginning, when you're fairly weak, have low ammo, and you don't know how to play the game. Once you're just past the half-ways point, you sort of become a walking death-machine and a fair amount of tension goes away.
They really perfected the jump scares in this game. Hot damn, just starting out when you spot an enemy and that super-loud "DUN!" breaks out and the freaks book at you made me freak and waste a ton of ammo.
